Even a liberal majority in the SC would never allow the repealing of the 2nd. They may vote to uphold local gun ordinances but that doesn't mean the amendment is dead.Heller was only 5-4
If Obama gets another judge the Second Amendment may be dead
Who are the REAL minorities?
I can't speak for your State, but Hispanics like Ms. Sotomayor are sure as hell not a Minority group in California:

If you're going to be a good and faithful judge, you have to resign yourself to the fact that you're not always going to like the conclusions you reach. If you like them all the time, you're probably doing something wrong.
Anton Scalia is burning in Hell as we speak. Why do you blame Scalia? he was quite the literalist, hobby lobby was certainly a wrong decision though.
Who are the REAL minorities?
I don't know why The republican senators wants to delay an appointment for a year. It's not like Hillary will pick another Scalia. Her pick will probably be more liberal than Obama's.
The left-handed?
The death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia today set off a scramble in a deeply polarized Washington over his replacement on the court. Within hours of the announcement of Scalia’s death, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said a vote should wait for the next president to be elected. He and the Republican majority in the Senate can impose extensive delays on any confirmation vote.
But if Obama is able to get consideration for a nominee, history and common sense suggest that it will be very difficult for him to win approval for judicial candidates with the qualifications and ideological backgrounds of his first two nominees, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.
That graphic is a joke.Fivethirtyeight has an article out
Obama Won’t Be Able To Replace Scalia With A Justice As Liberal As Sotomayor

While we disagree, I am grateful that you can at least acknowledge my consistency on the issues. But I have to say; I wish I had anywhere near the intellect that Jack has. He's passionate about liberal and human rights issues and he's very intelligent. These are good things.
