SBBC Vol 1 - Corona is a can

I remember visiting San Francisco when I was 12, that’s when I knew California was the GOAT state. You couldn’t complain about the weather at all, you got to enjoy the scenery more whilst walking. Food was great (I was a fat ass kid back then). My only regret was that I couldn’t enjoy Chinatown more, my taste in food wasn’t adequate at the time. I’d go back in a heartbeat, the dream is to live in Cali in the future.
Hit up rona. He’s always looking for a new dude to wake up next to.

SF was my favorite city. Was not impressed by my last visit pre-pandemic. Hopefully it gets back to where it was.

SF, like Oakland, is gone.

I have no intention of injecting politics here other than to say London Breed (current mayor) and Brooke Jenkins (current DA) are rational, and not insane; unlike their predecessors. They are 100x better than the idiots before them but their job might be damn near impossible.

I absolutely loved every minute that I spent in SF and the 9 months I lived in Jackson square (between Clay and Jackson off Battery) in '03.

I was there in 2014, so Ed Lee seemed like a good mayor in my eyes.

I took my kids in 2014. It was their only visit. It was still in good shape. 2019, not so much.

Willie Brown was the mayor for the short time I lived in SF. Seemed fine. He was there during the significant gentrification of the grittier areas. It didn't hurt him that he was there during Dotcom1.0.

Enjoy your fond memories, both cities are shitholes now.
Between open air drug use, human feces every 15 feet, unmitigated violent crime and zero incentive for the understaffed police depts to do anything proactive, quality of life is fucking horrible for tax paying residents.
I watched the recent town hall with Oakland city council. The packed auditorium basically wanted to kill the out of touch council members who were more concerned about diversion for offenders.
Number One priority should be public safety according to residents.

Yea, London Breed was wise to appoint Jenkins but it's too little, too late.
The number of high profile businesses that have fled SF is too long to list.
Oakland has now lost THREE sports franchises. Warriors, Raiders and A's.
SF lost the Niners to Santa Clara county.

I could go on, but you get the picture.

A hispanic lady I worked with drew racial lines with the big box home improvement stores. Told me that Lowe's was for my white people and Home Depot was for her hispanics. I rejected that theory and I go with Home Depot. Main reason is the Lowe's website is bullshit. It will tell me an item is in stock and can be found on a certain aisle, more often than not they didn't have the shit I was looking for. A few times the aisle itself didn't fucking exist in the store and I always confirmed that the site was listing my local store.
Hispanic Home Depot goer checking in.

I know this is extremely relevant information you all needed.

I hear a lot of shit about CA drivers but I felt in my element. People were in a hurry to get where they needed to go. Hearing how much people honk in LA was hilarious though.

LoL. I used to be a PA driver on film productions in NY. I was terrified, but not for long...I quickly realized I had the shittiest box truck rental on the road usually and other drivers would steer clear because they didn't want their vehicle to end up looking like same.
