SBBC Vol 1 - Corona is a can

I typically won’t drink beer at a steakhouse. Beer fucks up your palette. Wines way better with a good steak or seafood, I’ll drink beer afterwards when getting crunk. Only time I go to steakhouses is in vegas anyways. So plenty of time to crush 12 modelos and gamble after.

Ever hit STK at the cosmopolitan? I haven't tried it yet myself.

Pro tip for a nice steakhouse or seafood restaurant is to bring your own bottle of wine and pay the corkage which is usually like $20. A $50 bottle at the grocery store goes for like 150 at the restaurant.

I sound poor.

Revo is always going to call you (the royal us) poor so that shouldn’t stop you from giving out solid advice. Lol

and I agree about the steakhouse thing. Unless it’s a special occasion I would rather just buy good ones at a butcher shop and get a nice bottle of wine or two for me and my old lady. You’ll save a bunch of money that way and it’s probably going to be a better experience even if the food isn’t AS good as the steakhouse would be.

Take a chick to Nobu and midway through the dinner, tell her you can’t afford to pay.

Just before COVID hit my wife and I stayed at Nobu hotel in Miami beach.

My 'you sound poor' moment: I looked at the Nobu menu and I just couldn't bear to pull the trigger (immigrant mentality is a terrible thing)

Butcher shops are the best. Meats are their specialty + they’re using organic cooking oils most of the time (I’m a hippie)

Made up of five independently talented and successful members who were looking for a new creative outlet unconstrained by over-thinking, over-planning, and excessive control; LEISURE are an anomaly in the music industry. This unusual melting-pot of contributions means LEISURE is greater than the sum of its parts, each member bringing different influences from 70s funk, to 90s rap and R&B, all the way to dance music from the early 2000s. Each member also brings a different skill set – strong pop song writing sensibilities, experimental production techniques, and the talent to mix and master their own work.

Haven’t, looks pretty bomb though. Usually just do craftsteak in MGM since that’s typically where we stay for my buddies bday in the summer

Which MGM is that?

TBH I have never been to Vegas as my destination other than for a conference. I am typically flying through LAS with one night -- but I do that a lot (3 times just this year). I've developed a routine. Here are a few things to check out:

Zuma at Cosmopolitan: absolutely top notch if you like modern cuisine with Asian influences.
Jaleo at Cosmopolitan: is a tapas place by Jose Andres Very solid.
Julian Serrano's Tapas at Aria: great tapas, might be better than Jaleo
Milos at Pallazo(?): Used to be at the Cosmopolitan. This is a Montreal seafood restaurant. The one in midtown Manhattan is one of my favorite restaurants. I ate at the Vegas location when it was at the Cosmopolitan. Highly recommend if you like seafood.

Street style: momofuku and teppa (sushi) both at the Cosmopolitan are very good.

Breakfast: Mon ami Gabi at Paris is great place. Also has legit classic French Brasserie style food

Desserts: there is a pastry place on the casino floor of Aria that is very good (don't remember the name).

North Las Vegas Mexican: if you're driving toward Utah (like I do) there is a great Mexican place called Viva Zapata. https://goo.gl/maps/1PAdkQfTR6kvyBCLA

I would be interested if anyone has other recommendations.
