How did such a warped thought enter your mind that Moras thinks her fans "owe" her? Asking for donations is not the equivalent of saying: "You owe me." You are inappropriately treating this as if the government is taxing you for her entitlement, or something. And making such a ridiculously innappropriate comparison seems like fanatical political ideology running amok.

If I am "white knighting" it is for all fighters, male and female, because this applies to fighters in general. Indeed, it applies to Olympic athletes of both genders as well.

You forget that most fighters (of both genders) support their training, at least in part, via sponsors, up to the point when they start fighting for the UFC and then the Reebok deal makes that almost impossible any more.

It also applies to people all over the world, a shit ton of them a lot worse off than someone that wants to be a pro fighter. I prefer to give my money to those that honestly need help, not those looking for a free handout

Nobody is twisting your arm to give her money. She didn't ask YOU for a donation, did she? Do you follow her on social media? I sure as hell didn't ask anybody on her behalf either. And I'm not the TS. But I don't see anything wrong with her asking her fans if they want to help her out.

I'm not sure why some people keep beating on like her having to ("having to") ask for money is some great tragedy.

She has two fights in the last three years. All told, what do you think her economic productivity actually has been to the UFC in that time frame?

The fact that it's the BIG LEAGUES doesn't change basic economics.

Of course she can ask, and of course I can say no because according to my own subjective preferences, there are far better places for charity than Sarah Moras's pockets.

Maybe it IS extravagant. I didn't go to that page to see what exactly she wants. I'm under the impression, however, that she lives and trains in a place that doesn't have elite training offered nor great training partners near at hand (I could be wrong about that, I'm not basing that opinion on much actual knowledge). Sherdog lists her as in Kelowna, British Columbia. What's the MMA scene like there? Maybe she figures the UFC training center will give her her best chance at being competitive and making a success of herself as a fighter. If she has fans willing to help her with this, good for her. I see no moral issue in her asking to find out.
