People need to stop expecting the UFC to pay like the MLB, NFL, NBA, etc...

It's never going to happen, and it shouldn't.

There is an incredible barrier to entry into the MLB, NFL, NBA.

By comparison, there is almost no barrier to entry in the UFC.

For someone like Sarah Morass or anybody else who is not a household name or champion in a weight class, they need to have alternative sources of income other than prize fighting.

why is it embarassing for the UFC?

she hasnt fought in two fucking years.

The UFC offer the fighters free gym, free coaching, free physio, free food, everything at the UFC HQ in Vegas

All she has to do is get to Vegas



But somehow in the last two years, it hasnt occured to her to put together any money whatsoever for this and is now doing a gofundme to raise $10k (yes ten fucking grand) for her air fair to Vegas and hotels


nowhere is that embarassing for the UFC

She's fought twice since the ultimate fighter in 2013.

If she can't afford to train it's on her to make some sacrifice and get a part time job like other fighters do, it's the nature of the game you reap what you sow.

she apparently has been working, but wants to drop the job to train full time for this fight.. but it hasnt occured to her to save any money while she has been working?

Thats her bad, many fighters have bills and have to work, they make smart choices though and set aside their money for what they have to do to further their fighting career. That says a lot about how serious she takes her career though.

I don't really consider someone who hasn't fought in over 3 years and fought twice in over 4 years an active fighter.

People used to fight 3-4x a year at the lower levels (below top 15). I guess those days are over in the UFC for the most part.

Yea, its pretty depressing.. 10K for a camp? Her cell phone bills ? she needs to get a fucking job and save up and pursue fighting if she has a passion. ...otherwise get a regular job and earn living....

She is going to loose anyway...
