Panhandling is another form of sales. Approaching the target audience -UFC fans in this case - and asking something from them (financial compensation, gifts, etc.) to satisfy some need (wanting to see her fight to win; get her brains bashed in; support) is the same as sales.

Being in outside sales can easily net you more than most fighters if you learn from your mistakes and are dedicated to it. Outside sales is a lot like being a hunter if you really think about it. Earn as much as a doctor or lawyer and up if you have people skills and don't take rejection personally.

She's a nobody that hasn't fought in years. You expect them to pay a nobody 4 years of wages for two fucking fights over the course of years?

You're a joke. Maybe if she fought once in awhile she wouldn't be broke. I'd be fucking broke too if I took a couple years off my job.

You're the one jumping to conclusions that she doesn't, so it's on you to demonstrate the validity of that. You brought the issue up as if you knew. You also act as if anyone who is employed should be able to afford the prolonged training that is necessary to train to fight at the UFC level and also to have a UFC level fight camp. That kind of training doesn't come cheap. Nor does living in the world come cheap for that matter. Lots of people with full time jobs struggle to make ends meet, even without the extra expense of paying coaches to train them to learn to strike and wrestle and do submissions at an elite level (which is what is needed to succeed in the UFC).

Tell me, how many Olympic hopefuls do you think have donors that help them afford to train at a high level? I'll bet quite a few have such donors who give them a hand. So what's the difference in mindset between someone who would donate to help such an Olympic hopeful and someone who would donate to help a fighter who needs financial help to prepare to fight a UFC fight?

OH NO!!! Your really comparing a low level women's mma fighter that has probably trained pure mma fighting for no longer than 5 years to an Olympic hopeful that has been training there whole life to REPRESENT THEIR COUNTY???

I just don't believe in handouts especially when it is for training in something like MMA where they can easily do something else if they cannot afford it OR go work and save money than come back when you have the money to train. I would much rather give my money to people who actually need it or for causes that are much more noble. This shit just reaks of a d level celebrity trying to use that 15 minutes to not work hard and pay for her own shit, which I absolutely despise...like I said it's that mellenial entitled mindset...

Are you of the opinion that it is perfectly acceptable to ask fans for compensation like a cam models or porno stars do with their Amazon wish lists?

Yes, I do think there is such a comparison to be made. Moras is a Canadian. Do you think there is no sense among at least some Canadians that Canadian fighters REPRESENT THEIR COUNTRY when they fight in the UFC? Or that Scottish fighters, Irish fighters, Polish fighters, Mexican fighters, etc. REPRESENT THEIR COUNTRIES when they fight in the UFC? You can "OH NO!!!" all you want, but you've not been paying attention if you think this is not so.

The UFC even had a season of TUF, Canadians vs Australians, based on national pride.

Your comparison with porn seems to show a limitation of breadth in your experience of the modern world, where much other than porn is accomplished via go fund me and patreon projects etc. The Veronica Mars movie, for example, was fan-funded. They weren't investors sharing in the profit. They just wanted to see it happen. And that wasn't porn-industry related.

LMAO comparing OLYMPICS TO WOMENS MMA!!! Olympics began approx 1896 and women's MMA 105 years later but the two sports are comparible in regards to national pride??? That is like saying the WNBA is comparible to NBA in fanboy pride...your comparisons are hilarious and utterly wrong. You clearly are Sarah or know her well so tell her to find additional income to pay for HER INTERESTS OR QUIT OVERALL! Stop trying to have others pay for your hobby (since it's clearly not her career), grow up and take care of your own.

It's like I enjoy poker but suck at it so I don't have the capital to continue on, I beg others or start a gofundme page to finance my hobby of poker rather than realizing i suck at poker and quitting or else finding additional income (more jobs) to finance poker hobby. Grow up, I am sure you just love welfare.

Get a job and grow up. Don't have others pay for your dream hobby. Abondand that mellenial mindset. Welfare is for the lazy if one is able bodied. I'm sorry if these statements hurt those soft feelings of yours but they need to be said! These generations are getting weaker and weaker minded along with having extremely poor work ethics mixed in with being entitled/false sense of accomplishment. Using ones d level celeb status to manipulate money from others so that said d list celebrity doesn't have to work or work more is just wrong and flat out lazy. Probably nobody would feel so happy that you get to drive a Bentley that they would donate for it, right? So you aren't making any sort of meaningful point by not starting a donate page.

But if fans donate to a fighter to help them have better a better training camp going into a fight, it is a safe bet that this makes the fans who do so happy to be a supporter.

You guys getting your panties in a twist act like the government is proposing to tax you to make this happen.

I picked what was most appropriate. I don't see the comparison with funding a movie production quite lined up with a some unknown WMMA fighter.

Skin; low on the pecking order of professions as generally viewed by the general population; a plan not well thought out -- the porn comparisons was much more on target.
