Salty alert - Anderson on Chris's set up for KO punch: Lucky, definitely lucky

Wrong , yesterday Anderson said he is not going to change the way he fights. He said very clearly that he is not going to change the way he fights for the rematch and this was yesterday.

He doesn't always fight the way he did in the first fight. No reason to believe he will go that far again.

Hmm.

Well then I hope Silva works extra hard on his laughing and mocking for the rematch.

No. There is no luck in fighting. Some magical element of the universe did not guide Weidman's fist to Silva's chin, nor Silva's foot to Vitor's face.

C'mon. There's even luck to taking another breath. Somewhere, someone just got denied that with no warning. That's bad luck. Yours is good.

Yes, you can throw your best punch and your shoulder goes out, your opponent moves, he happened to have thrown a great punch a split second before yours started, he trips, the power goes out.... man a million things happen in every second that are NOT in your control. Just because you controlled what IS in your control well doesn't mean that NO luck was involved.

You can't take a breath or type a word on a keyboard without luck playing into it.

I clearly stated the punch wasn't lucky.

And I clearly stated that there is no "luck" in fighting. :icon_lol: Luck would be a ball bouncing left when you wanted it to bounce right after throwing it. That might be luck.

Throwing a punch or a kick in the fight or moving one way and moving into a punch is not luck. Each participant in a fight makes an action and counter action. If one action is more calculated or is advantageous then there is no luck there, only bad decisions.

with that logic there is no such thing as "luck".

a very unlikely/unintended event can be interpretted as luck.

being that weidman said he didn't mean to mess with andersons head movement by doubleing up the punch, id say there was some luck to it.

Or simply a bad decision on Silva's part.

Yes he does lol. He drops his hands all the time.

He literally did it in his last fight with Bonnar.

Can't wait to see Silva get mauled in December. I know his cult will get creative and come up with yet more excuses.

You probably think you're making a point but you're not.

lol

You can see Edson Soares saying in portuguese

"Anderson, come on (looking disappointed)"

then he says
"don't ever answer this anymore" then anderson asks for another question. lol

Weidman was extremely lucky that night:

A lucky take down, followed by lucky GnP punches that made Silva look like he was about to sleep for a second, then he tags Silva with some lucky punches, he puts his hands down and is lucky enough to dodge some of Silva's punches, then Silva goes forward swinging for the fences but missed by pure luck, then luckily Silva drops his hands and Weidman throws a lucky combo which connects some lucky punches and then a big lucky punch that put's Silva to sleep followed by lucky GnP.

Chris shoud've skipped the fight and bought a lottery ticket that night.

He doesn't always taunt/dance that much without countering. Bonnar fight he countered the shit out of him and controlled the grappling. Completely different fight.

You don't think Anderson was trying to counter?

You probably think you're making a point but you're not.

It's not my fault you can't or don't want to understand. You can go ahead and live in a fantasy land, but what happened in Silva's fight with Weidman wasn't "luck" to make you feel better about the loss.

Actually Chris was lucky. VERY lucky. Silva didn't have the best prep for this fight. Silva's house was caught in a hurricane and he had TWO surgeries which resulted in a year layoff. He's obviously going to be way stronger in the re-match.
