Actually, Delta is part of the US Army Special Forces - Detachment Delta.
1st Special Forces Operational Detachment–Delta (1st SFOD-D).
They do wear the same uniform as the regular Army soldiers. This would be the patch on the left shoulder. United States Army Special Operations Command (Airborne) - USASOC. Not all who wear it are Delta, but all Deltas wear them.

That's all true, I'm just saying that if they're embedded in Ukraine right now as advisors, they're not wearing/carrying a single item that could identify them as an American service member, much less US Special Forces. If I had to guess, they'd look like all of the other bearded DD214 Vets there working as guns for hire.

Oh, you mean he's winning the information war in Russia?

Apologies, then, because there's no way I'd deny that. Bang on. He obviously is.

He's winning the information war internationally? Absolutely not, but I'd be prepared to listen to it on a country-by-country basis, because I've no doubt the Russian narrative might be stronger in some places than others.

As for 'Ukraine is not going to win', that's a bold statement in a conflict that is currently in a 'stalemate' (not my words), and in which Russia has yet to address serious challenges and has struggled since the beginning to boast many strategic victories at all.

I suppose you can easily temper 'Ukraine is not going to win, but neither is Russia', which is certainly what Western defence experts are saying.

There really isn't a 'victory' in sight for Russia, as even the 'successful' occupation of territories is likely to lead to insurgencies for many years to come.
Do you understand that Russia could easily over take Ukraine? They are trying to minimize casualties on the Ukrainian side which is also part of the information war. Putin is trying to unite the Slavic people of Russia & Ukraine.

And Ukrainians are just being bad children, but will soon see the errors of their ways. ;)

If they are on Active Duty with the US Army, they would not be in Ukraine. Only retired on a volunteer basis. The CIA most likely has them on the payroll as retired volunteers.

On a sidenote: Meet the Army's new replacement for the M4. So long 5.56nato.
The M5 rifle. It has not had a good reception by those that have use it. Is the 6.8mm round going to become the new NATO round? If not, this is a big mistake. The rifle and round have been approved on paper, but there is still a question on actually fielding it. The budget for it has not been approved. It is in the billions of dollars. The rifle is not an issue, but the round is - armories and scopes. Sig Sauer won the contract.
The thing looks horrendous. Here is the MCX SPEAR, the civilian version vs the military version (below it):

I’m not sure which side is winning the information war. The only thing I know for certain is that you have lost the war.

Czech Republic elected to replace Russia on U.N. rights council
UNITED NATIONS, May 10 (Reuters) - The United Nations General Assembly elected the Czech Republic to the Geneva-based Human Rights Council on Tuesday to replace Russia, which was suspended last month over its invasion of Ukraine and then immediately quit the 47-member body.

Russia had been in its second year of a three-year term. The Czech Republic will complete that term on the council, which cannot make legally binding decisions. Its decisions carry political weight, however, and it can authorize investigations.

The Czech Republic was elected with 157 votes in favor, while 23 countries abstained. Its terms starts immediately.

Can't tell if satire or not.

"They" took up arms against Ukraine, but "they" also took up arms to defend Ukraine, and that's a plain and basic fact of the matter, so let's not bother pretending 'Donbas' took up arms against Ukraine any more than 'Donbas' took up arms against Russia.

Nonsense post.

If you could honestly poll these people what do you think they'd vote for? Honest question.

Normal Kremlin propaganda from you here.
You are Putin's supporter.

___
Reason why they usually initially are attempting to install a puppet to rule country is.....because this is cheaper, easy for propaganda and country quikcly might be submited to Russia's economic interests.
____
Reason why they "are trying to minimize.....infrastructure damages is $$$$$$$$.

If they hope to submit country, in order to " milk them " they need infrastructure working smoothly.

Kleptocrats aren't willing to invest money and wait long years until return of investments will be possible.

Russia isn't USSR and doesn't do anything without FINANCIAL reason.

Looks that even the same "separatist areas " in countries they most likely are supporting .....in order to destabilise their ....economy. To make countries economies weaker.
.....it is business.....

Even their "empire plan " is.....big business plan.

Hitler btw too in some areas initially did the same: attempted to annex smoothly, then where they advanced easily and quickly: attempted not damage bridges, power plants and factories.
When they were pushed back....they did all the best to destroy infrastructure.....

Modern days is the same. $$$$ and time factor.

For example if to build oil refinery costs f.e 1
bn and it takes 3 ( for example ) years, then....until these investments will be returned with smoothly operating refinery......there 4-9 years will be needed.
Only after this there will be profit from investments in refinery.
It might be 7-12 years since construction had been started.

While if you don't need even to repair captured object...
Profit might be earned almost immediately.

Life is....business.

I'd be amazed if they had no problems with the likes of Carolus Löfroos, although is he still in Sweden?

Why would they (Finland ) have a problem with him?
He is from Sundsvall and lives there.
He did his military in Finland because he IIRC had dual citizenship.

Apparently its rather good.
I think the verdict still out. No doubt more weight to hump around. While on paper, a specialized 5.56mm (77 grain) will outperform it at longer ranges, the bullet is still behind in terms of energy. From shorter barrels designed for CQB, the 6.8mm SPC will absolutely stomp on the 5.56mm. Both have their pros and cons. Like the 7.62mm. Seems to be a favorite though:
. 24% voted for 5.56mm NATO
. 76% voted for 6.8mm Remington SPC
chart

838 people have voted in this poll.

If your not going to read the entire thread, don't post videos. You're a lazy drunk. Try and do some research before you post if you don't want me to attack you.
