Putin announces compensation figures for Russian soldiers who die in Ukraine | Marca
About $43,000 per dead Russian soldier. It still sucks.
Meanwhile here in the US, Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (SGLI) is insuring soldiers for up to $400,000. This has gone up from $250,000 a few years ago.

well i dont know which side to take on this one. its hard to trust anything coming out of putin's mouth, and it would be unlikely that someone would be able to get ahold of one of the widows and have them put it out there. the next day she would probably end up either disappearing, falling out of an apartment window, or accidentally ingesting a whole bunch of poison.
$43,000 dollars from my article. That is 43,000 euros.
You'd be surprised. Just like the woman who protested on national TV. Was like 250$ fine. Same with priest for calling it a war. Little fine and a slap on the wrist.
I'd get a bigger bloody punishment here for protesting on a national broadcast lol

$107,000 dollars from your article.
Big difference. Don't know. They are probably not being paid anything. Maybe a nice 'generic' letter from Putin.
i thought they were subject to up to 15 years imprisonment/forced labor or some shit. but i dont know where the hell i even stumbled upon that.
i still wouldnt take my chances and go around holding up a "No War!" sign, or a large picture of a tractor riding off with a russian tank. i'd probably get shipped off to siberia!
I heard the same but got curious to as how a few of the better known cases were dealt with. Once again would need a Russian to get a realistic feel as to fear about protesting.
Why would they (Finland ) have a problem with him?
He is from Sundsvall and lives there.
He did his military in Finland because he IIRC had dual citizenship.
Well I said, "the likes of" because his online rhetoric followed by his fighting in the Ukraine for Azov mirrors a pattern for terrorism we've already seen. I knew he had dual citizenship, but wasn't sure where he resided.
Mind you I guess with the Schengen arrangement citizenship is less meaningful in terms of potential threats.
I'd be amazed if they had no problems with the likes of Carolus Löfroos, although is he still in Sweden?
Poor bastards. Swedish vodka is better too
