Russia/Ukraine Megathread V6

Such social distance putler uses is norm in Kremlin.
It is full with 55-70-85 y.o ex USSR KGB etc lads + their apprentices.
1949-1953 Stalin during bad periods ordered to prepare him meals in all his flats and villas in order to make enemies not know where he will eat his meal+ had degustators team etc as extra safety measure.

It is even rumored that before death he did not allowed his doctors to see him in fear to be poisoned.

Might be unbelievable but if we see what happens with current Kremlin's rulers ( not only Putin ) speeches and threats, accusations they are expressing,.....the older they are the more they start to look like aging Stalin....who too since 1932 th was more and more aggressive until in 1949 th started to live in paranoia and cocky dreams.
Sadly Putler isn't alone like he in this Kremlin.

I watched his entire interview and I don't remember him ever saying that. Yes he has mentioned a lot of things about the soviet union but never once did I ever hear him vocalize his intentions in Ukraine as taking the whole country.

I thought that might be his intentions but it was really just a guess. As far as I know, nobody really knows what his plans were exactly. If you have proof he said he was taking all of Ukraine please post it for me, because I never heard him say it

I don't think you did, because it wasn't an interview, it was a declaration of war.

And he definitely said it.

He was pretty clear about it. He's invading Ukraine to de-nazify the country and they shouldn't have been allowed to leave Russia in the first place.

I'm just trying to see if our media is lying again or not. They say he has changed strategies but as far as I know, nobody knew his strategy in the first place.

I'm just trying to see if there was ever any evidence that he said he was taking all of Ukraine. As far as I can tell, that's just a made up narrative but who knows

But how could you ever know...since no matter what he says we have no clue if he's even remotely being honest anyway? You're trying to figure out if OUR media is lying...they're basing anything they say off guesses about if he's telling the truth when HE speaks. See what I mean? No matter what he said his strategy was, his credibility when it comes to this conflict has been at zero from the start because he said they wouldn't even go in. Anything our media (or anyone else for that matter) says about him switching strategies isn't going to be based on his words. It's going to be based on the actions they've seen and the analysis of what's actually happening on the ground.

If he did say it you're the only person who heard it, because not a single other person on Sherdog or in the media has claimed this. It was a speech if you want to be a jagoff.

If he said it, you would be able to prove it easily. I can't take your word because you have a history of being a liar. Just post the clip, shouldn't be hard.

Although he worded it like Russia is the victim, he definitely alluded towards toppling the Ukrainian government.

"This brings me to the situation in Donbass. We can see that the forces that staged the coup in Ukraine in 2014 have seized power, are keeping it with the help of ornamental election procedures and have abandoned the path of a peaceful conflict settlement. For eight years, for eight endless years we have been doing everything possible to settle the situation by peaceful political means. Everything was in vain."

Yeah...although I don't know if that can be extrapolated to "We need to topple this government". It obviously alludes to the government being illegitimate in his eyes, but there's nothing specific about Russia taking it out. But again...I almost fee like "Who cares?" What kind of credibility are we giving anything he says at this point?

That old noise of the big scary bully in the east feels a bit exaggerated now. Clearly they aren't as capable as we all believed.
I'm not buying every story posted here but at some point you got to accept part of the information and realise Russia's army are nothing special and have not evolved in 80 years.
Might be a good time for Japan to go get their islands back.

i dont know about putin being a prime bj penn. the way he's getting those cheeks clapped by those ukranian farmer's, he's more like an end-of-the-road bj penn, picking fights with random dudes at the bar that he thinks will be easy for him and still getting beat up.
Tippy Toe Putin

Ukrainian officials alleging that the civilian population of Slavutych have begun to resist Russian occupation. This is near the Chernobyl power plant region.

More failed Russian advances near Izium. Recent counterattack operations very effective.

16,000 killed so far.

They also claim Russia will begin conscripting again on April 1st.

I agree, he has no credibility at all. He accuses the "Kiev regime" - Zelensky's government -of genocide, and says the operation is to demilitarise Ukraine, but apparently that was going to be achieved without using any force. It's not going to go down as one of the all time great speeches in history; but I think the media was pretty fair to understand this as an intention to conquer the whole country.

"The purpose of this operation is to protect people who, for eight years now, have been facing humiliation and genocide perpetrated by the Kiev regime. To this end, we will seek to demilitarise and denazify Ukraine, as well as bring to trial those who perpetrated numerous bloody crimes against civilians, including against citizens of the Russian Federation.

It is not our plan to occupy the Ukrainian territory. We do not intend to impose anything on anyone by force."

Yeah...you could absolutely argue the line of "bring to trial those who..." as having that intent. If he's speaking of Zelenskiy and other officials, he's in effect speaking of toppling the government. But again...who knows? His words simply don't have much meaning at this point.

Thanks for saving me the trouble.

@Da Speeit your move.

<{MingNope}>

EDIT: I see he moved his goalposts. No formal declaration of war, he says.

<{hfved}>
Me talking about Kiev a month ago when the topic was Kiev is not moving the goalposts. Sorry.

Joe Biden meeting with some troops in Poland

Breaking on Tucker Carlson tonight;

“Biden eating pizza while Europe burns, showing the world what a weak leader he is. Why isn’t he leading his men like Vladimir Putin?”
That’s like all of Fox News in a nutshell lmao
