Mate, Donetsk is a capital of DONETSK Peoples Republic. Since 2014 it's not a part of Ukraine.

So, you compare sending supplies to USSR and starting 2nd frontline with Germans in 1944, when Soviets already did all the job, with bombing of independent country with hundreds of civilian's deaths and supporting the separatist movement there to make a new republic? Cool story, bruh.

Yeah, I could be operating on an understanding of it from 30+ years ago, but I think the actual launch would not be automatic that quickly. The President would be notified and rushed to get him in the air if possible. They would call Russia on the hot line to rule out any possible misinterpretation, etc. I'm sure there's at least some minutes of check-downs beforehand.

If it was automatic that quickly we would have nuked NK by now. I don't doubt we can detect a launch within seconds but it should still take some amount of time after that to determine the trajectory.

From everything I have seen, they haven't even tried to take Kyiv yet. When did they try to take Kyiv?
Also, taking Kiev doesn't indicicate they want all of Ukraine, that is just a bad assertion with flawed logic.

Also, Rational Poster said that Putin said he was going to take Ukraine in his speech. I watched the speech I know he never said that, I was just interested to see if Rational Poster would actually try to prove it, but he tucked tail and ran, because he lied.

So what’s everyone’s thoughts on how the Donbass region fights will go? Anyone have unbiased map showing what’s controlled and by whom? I think it’ll be a battle to who can mobilize and stock troops the fastest to the region from where they are currently located. I see Donetsk being the next Mauripol and it basically getting scorched earth before/if ever Russia takes it. We will see how many people are still pro Russia there after the dust settles.

I wouldn’t put it back Ukraine to try some type of terrorist attack on Moscow in the next 1-2 years either. Moscow isn’t that far from the border.

I wouldn't poke the bear with attacks on Moscow but I do think Ukraine will get a lot of support from the West to regain lost territory. Maybe even including Crimea. Putin is still capable of destroying the planet so I'm sure there will be some restraint but the sanctions alone will cripple him if they don't ease up.

While US part was mostly in bombing the civilians in Dresden for no reasons and testing of nuclear weapons on the equally unfortunate inhabitants of Hiroshima and Nagasaki?
