No tbh it benefits everyone even the Ukranians even if their pride won't let them admit it. Russia's West and far east seperating has been inevitable. They want totally different futures and both remaining in the same state isn't really doable. They have not just been fighting now but in the east they've been fighting since 2014. The situation being permanently resolved at the soonest time means the fewest deaths so it's only logical.
The outcome is already a done deal(Russia will secure the independence of 2-3 breakaway states there might be a little more to it but that's the main jist of any settlement)it's only how long it takes and how many lives it takes.
