Very bad for Ukr.
Despite reluctant to get new bill for Ukr, Macron at least in 2024 th had scheduled deliveries Ukr should get in 2025 th and they had been approved.
Trump most likely wants Macron to get participate in Ukr blackmail scheme aka Munich 1938 th stuff.
I.e to cut military aid for ukr in form of weapons and ammo from France.

Trump easy peasy will sell Ukr to putin. With 0 emotions and turn them into complete idiots.

Obviously I disagree based on speculation. Fox wanted more eu involvement. Hopefully this is the start. Macron will not act on its own. He will be following up with the rest of the EU on the outcome of the meeting.

EU collective decision will not be quickly. Especially cos Orban and Fico will block this.
So today looks that Ukr does have chance only if EU countries will decide to provide assistance on individual basis. This is possible.

While for France priority is to maintain their thermonuclear weapons in shape. They at least does have re entry bus for MIRV warheads in working condition... unlike U.K.

To increase assistance for Ukr Micron needs Senate in France to approwe additional bills cos financing. This here.

I think Trump pushing it will get the EU to act in somewhat unison even if there are a few outliers. For any president of a country, it's important to be involved for your own feather in your cap as far as your people are concerned. Will see I guess.

Ofc europe needs to increase def funding, I had posted this 3 years ago and they did but not all countries....

There also are real problems because refugees: they does cost damn a lot. Especially kids, small kids even more than older kids

Additionally Ukr is sitting on loans from EU, EU countries, also ofc on grants too, plus are receiving humanitarian aid, meds etc.
Damn, they are food exporters and still are getting even food packs from EU countries. Believe me, these in EU does cost more than in ukr....considerably more.

They not only are getting loans from EU, also grants, loans from IMF, WB, IBRD, EBRD etc....also from other sources.

If this didn't had get spent here...then europe really might had sent more weapons....
Europe even despite this had helped more than U.S...this is reality and EC will not agree with fake accusations.

While what will happen with Ukr if they will stop even just to pump money in Ukraine? They will default quickly.

Debts btw too are rising each day...more and more.

Europe as a whole has more of an interest in staying in this due to proximity to Russia. It caused them all to meet a few weeks ago. I'm curious to see what Macron says following the meeting. England PM will also meet with Trump. Lots of money was also loaned to the Ukraine by European nations. That will need to be repaid. They just have too much of an interest in being involved. Of course all EU countries aren't equal and having reps from all 27 won't be as profitable

There is one thing: if Ukr will go 404 completely, they will have damn a lot more refugees.
Also if Ukr police and border guards will not get salaries paid, we might see them as refugees in EU. Also ofc Ukr is filled with different criminals and shitload with small arms and grenades from USSR era...
Ofc gangs in europe will not pay for large weapons, while some handguns, explosives and assault rifles type stuff....different world and will be huge demand for simple and enough small weapons...
