International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

You can't be serious. You're now pretending Russia has stronger economy than Japan and Germany?

Russia went from being 80% GDP of Italy's (and that's before the many sanctions put in place) to now increasing its GDP by more than 400%?

This is why no one takes you seriously.
🤣
Don't be ridiculous.
Why don't you and others check the information yourself. That is why you and others on this thread are living in a bubble.
You guys don't believe the truth when it slaps you in the face.
Here, let me spoon feed it to the feeble minded:

This is known, but it seems they will continue to get help, and it's why this Special Operation blew up in Putin's face.
Russia's "Special Operation" seems to be doing fine. The Ukrainian Army has slowly diminished since 2022? Is anyone still volunteering to fight there?
Ukraine will never be part of NATO. It will not get EU soldiers on its ground as peacekeepers. Russia will not crumble or lose this conflict. The world's focus is now on the Middle East and Iran. How much longer will Ukraine keep this conflict going?

It's not real economic activity but from the government subsidizing war industry over the last year. When the war stops, this subsidized GDP disappears.

I think someone using PPP GDP numbers to estimate country economy, he is wrong...

Used should be NET GDP numbers.

Plus if we bear in mind increased tax, inflation and savings usage for small special military operation ....ofc they " increases " GDP but at what kind of expenses?

I had once posted when russia had used BTR 50 old stuff that it was cos they are more usable in mud than BTR 60, BTR 70 and BTR 80.

Additionally ofc if they were in good conditon, only transport expenses here. Literally for free.
The same when they used USSR era shells.

Smart move.
When you need new recently manufactured stuff, then yes, there are expenses.. real ones ...
They even yet didn't had felt real impact on economy.

There also I was really scared when saw jokes about Maxim and AK 47 and for a reason.
Effective weapons, a lot of ammo awailable, taxpayers long ago had paid for this...tackle from storage, remove conservation etc and use almost for free...btw well stored Mosin rifle might be even today in almost mint condition..and uses 7,62*54 ammo.

Mosin rifle still is popular for some applicatiom like 1 shot sniping for 300-500 m range. If well selected, good sights and experienced operator it is more precise for single shot job than SVD designated marksman rifle.

This meant that then they didn't had spent actual recently paid money of course.

If they then had used recently manufactured stuff I had been more statisfied. Cos they then didn't had used for these units recently financed weapons....so budged didn't had felt too much ofc.

I think that after ceasefire Putin will still assign a lot of funding: yell that fortifications should be built, more weapons produced and ofc without any doubts infrastructure will reconstruct oligarchs companies and this will be financed from federal budget...ofc oligarchs also will provide construction materials etc...AKA see Grozny how much money Putin had pumped in Grozny.
Mining industry ofc will get to own or at least operate oligarchs....

People in here still responding to San Retardino like he isn't straight up trolling at this point
I quit for a while but I'm still not convinced he's trolling. I think he really believes the crap he spins out at the same time it's like watching a car wreck you just cant help it.

Putin had get now more ammo from North Korea....they had increased ammunition usage in dumbass....seriously.

And not likely there soon will be peace talks.
For plebs ofc is easy to play propaganda that Putin's real demand might be about some NATO.
Even senile Putin knew that Ukr had 0 chances to get in NATO in 2022 th....it is for plebs.... fairy tales...west even didn't had sold them any heavy weapons etc plus batch with countries not trusting Ukr plus ofc other factors....

The main first demand from putin still is the same: he is demanding that Ukr recognize Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporozia and Kherson oblastjs as part of Russian Federation. Allow russia to annex all these provinces physically and from international community he wants that they will recognize this...

All other demands and BS is coming after this first demand point.

Between interest rates and inflation being out of control, they don't really have much choice after the war ends. They will have to maintain some subsidy spending to keep the people content. The regular economy won't be able to support the increased wages and industry brought on by the war.

They are having a lot of issues with pensioners now as well because their fixed incomes are getting ravaged by the inflation.

Not likely Putin will calm down.

1. He had promised russians quickly deNazify Ukraine.
2. Liberate .

3. He had failed to support Assad despite 10 years of huge money spending for this.
4. He appeared not capable to continue play peacekeaping tzar in karabah....
5. Pro Kremlin oriented ppl in Transitria now are so unhappy despite 0 war....

Somewhere Putin should show that he is strong.
Provinces he annexed on paper he wants to control 100% also deFacto.

Pensioners usually are using only local media...so they might push propaganda that bad west is responsible.

They already were successful, for example after 1920 th responsible appeared remainings of monarchy and speculants etc...kulaks etc
1936-1940 responsible were internal enemies.
1941-1945 germans.
1946-1955 : spies, remainings of capitalism and bad evil west....

1990 ies bad west responsible

Now again bad west etc...
