International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

They def wont be staying and fighting as they dont have men and resources to throw away like Putler. Hopefully keep making them pay with 1000's of lives for every m they get. Make the place a giant booby trapped minefield and have every notable building planted with explosives.
Avdiivka and area is heavily mined and bobby trapped area..... unlike Bakhmut where if compare with Avdiivka it was kinder garden...

Number of IEDs and mines is more than number of soldiers both sides ever had used in this area....it is real HELL and both sides had installed bobby traps, IEDs and mines in this area 8 years on daily routine basis...in row.
__/
This really is slaughtery and Avdiivka & area is stuff where russia during 23 months had managed to advance 1 - 12 miles exactly cos damn intensive mining done 8 years in row.
While for Ukr too always had been very problematic to advance in this area due to very huge and dense minefields networks ( in plural ,)...layed by Russia 8 years on routine basis.

And Avdiivka is very strategically important area exactly cos these huge minefields networks...like for Russia too...

There is also another stuff pro Ukr channels are not interested to post about.
50b EUR bill is mainly financial assitance bill...this means real money...

While next scheduled bill in EU collective assistance is 20 b EUR military assistance bill and if they will not sign at least 5 b next month, apporox 85% chances that Kiev will be de facto annexed in November, even without Trump in office.
Therefore it is expected that Orban and Slovakian PM will attempt to delay this bill as long as it is possible to delay ...

I cannot think of worse replacement than Syrskyi, dude is widely hated, seems to avoid any responsibility and takes credit from accomplishments of others. It is the army that is stuck on the soviet thinking while navy, air force and especially special services have managed to adapt.

He is going to do same in Avdiivka what he did in Bakhmut, he'll defend it to last god damn outhouse.

I honestly dont know what the fuck is Zelensky thinking. Well we know the next president of Ukraine now.

Russian intelligence agencies are spreading disinformation that Africans have been the unwitting test subjects in U.S. biological research programs and casting aspersions on Western public-health programs, U.S. officials said.

From Michael R. Gordon, Gabriele Steinhauser, Dustin Volz and Ann M. Simmons:

The effort is part of a Russian campaign to counter the U.S. in Africa and Latin America as Washington and Moscow battle for public opinion around the world.
At the heart of the Russian campaign is “African Initiative,” an online news service set up late last year that has used social media to promote criticism of Western public-health efforts in Africa and convened a conference in which participants disparaged Western pharmaceutical companies.

“Russian intelligence services are providing material support and guidance to the African Initiative,” said James Rubin, who oversees the State Department’s Global Engagement Center, which seeks to expose covert disinformation efforts abroad. “They are casting doubt on medical work that’s being done by legitimate medical organizations and deterring Africans from trusting medical efforts that could save lives.”
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed the allegations as anti-Russian propaganda. “These accusations have become customary for the West,” he wrote in an email. “None of them is backed by evidence.” The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, or SVR, didn’t respond to a request for comment.

Some of the staff of African Initiative listed on the website have been associated with the Wagner Group, the Russian paramilitary and business organization. Wagner has had extensive operations in Africa, including the deployment of mercenaries and the export of raw materials.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, who led Wagner until his death last year, supported Russian disinformation efforts, according to the U.S. Prigozhin was the subject of U.S. sanctions for his role in funding the Internet Research Agency, a troll farm that was part of what the U.S. says was a Russian disinformation campaign to interfere with the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

I’ve picked up the same impression, but do you have any decent sources for these views?

Who’s winning? Looks like the Ruskies, via long game?

Almost everything I've seen from the troops at the front is that they fking hate him. Some have said that he is closest thing to Prigozhin that they have.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that there are no “game changing” systems in a war like this

Game changer would be a clear western strategy and decisiveness to get there.

Define winning. Then the answer gets easier.
Isn’t winning in war defined by who achieved their stated goals?

Assuming none of the land taken by Russia in this offensive will be returning to Ukraine?

Honestly if i was FSB commander i would send squad down to sirskys parents house then call him. Tell him hes parents will fall out of a window or there will be 50 kilos of heroin found on them if he doesnt agree to work with FSB

Russia has done this type of stuff with ex soviet foreign militaries personnel who loved ones still lived in russia.

And if they dont do it then somethings up since theres massive security risk here
