The May day parade is a NATIONAL holiday in Russia to celebrate the victory over the Nazis and end of WWII. Think NK level of celebration for Kim Jong Un.

Ukraine can now hit Moscow with long range drones and if they attacked the parade, people would wonder "Well, why couldn't Putin stop this?!?!"

He's trying to stop from getting egg thrown on his face.

Putin demands Ukraine, a country that has been invaded twice demilitarize in order to stop the war. That's just one of the demands.

Which is never going to happen because it's insane.


Your President is too weak and stupid to understand that if the aggressor doesn't want to stop a war the war is not going to stop. Just the basics of warfare. Peace doesn't happen until both sides both sides enter into peace negotiations in good faith.

I.e BOTH actually want to stop the war.

Which isn't the case right now. Putin wants to continue because he thinks American is weak, stupid and doesn't understand the 4d chess that is geopolitics.

Russia can not keep this going much longer that's why Putin will be doing another summer offensive killing as many of his troops for minimal gains. The war chest has dried up there will not be gains of 30% of UKR like you say...he will be talking "peace" a lot more often going forward until he cant keep his killing up.
