International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

Looks that Witkoff is thinking that might calm russia by allowing them to incorporate Zaporozia, Kherson and Luhansk oblastj ...in Russia.

They maybe are thinking like real estate businessmans and maybe Outin is promising them that then all will be OK.

However they doesn't knows that Russia will never calm down about Ukraine.
Lavrov told that Harkov oblastj is historical russian land ..... they might soon add this oblastj in their demands list.

Lavrov's ofice does have a lot of propaganda and diplomacy specialists ....enough annoy Wi5koff and Trunp in order to attempt agree with Lavrov opinions about Harkov oblastj.

If we remember that Putin, Medvedev and their propagandists since 2008 th had multiplr times told that Odessa is russian city....we might only guess .....

Ofc there a lot of circles in russia wants this war in ykraine to be as long as it is possible and ofc for them is good that propagandists are pumping up more and more paranoia ....

Bireucrats in MoD and russian MIC bosses and directors ofc are happy to get more funding ....
Propagandists and agitators & recruiters are statisfied: huge demand for their services...
Anyway they aren't in trenches...

Therefore pretty logical that they are statisfied and will tell Putin that special operation is going as had been planned and better to continue......

Well, the fact that the US wants to stay out of the fight means exactly that - it wants to be neutral. Like Switzerland.
At least under Trump. He sees this as a European problem. Why does Zelensky need US made Patriot air defense systems? Isn't Ukraine getting military help from France, Germany and Great Britain? Go buy an air defense system from those countries.

Trump may not like Putin at the moment, but he absolutely hates Zelensky. He sees Russia as the bigger player between the two countries. He also believes Ukraine instigated this invasion. Let us not forget that Joe Biden told Putin a 'small' Russian military incursion into Ukraine would be just fine with him. Crimea (2014) was not a problem for Biden, and I am assuming something on the same scale would also be just fine with Biden. Trump also sees Zelensky as a corrupt president and a corrupt government. Nothing close to a true democracy. He knows how the ethnic Russian minority in the country was brutalized under Zelensky.

I like the way you list the link to the article and then go on to print the whole article (with pictures) and take half a page. Like we don't know how to click on a link.

Here are Russia's (Putin's) demands. They have not changed and some were requested prior to the invasion (some were the cause for this invasion):
  • Ukraine must demilitarize.
  • Ukraine must "denazify" and install a "legitimate" government.
  • Ukraine must abandon its aspirations to join NATO or any security bloc in the future.
  • Ukraine must concede occupied Ukrainian territory and "Novorossiya" to Russia.
  • Any resolution of the war must address the war's "root causes."
The United States is the biggest arm dealer in the world. Selling weapons to a country doesn’t mean we are, “in the fight”

I think it soon will get corrected because Trump is pro Kremlin oriented.

He is selling damn a lot of very expensive weapons for Europe and is shitting on them plus additionally there are doubts that Trump administration will sell spare parts and ammunition for systems they had already sold for high price.

A lot of taxpayers and voters worldwide are not happy that their tax money is used for U.S weapons purchase.

Current U.S administration doesn't helps here at all and soon maybe China, India, Pakistan and maybe even Russia will take their niche parts more...for a reason.

He is pro Kremlin oriented propagandist.

Trump allowed to send for Israel bombs scheduled to be delivered in 2024 th and Mike Johnson had prepared new 4 b $ bill for Israel. Cos it isn't Ukraine, for him 0 problems.

Yes, I know that. It supplies countries it has good relations with. No longer becoming the case in Ukraine. The US will stop selling weapons to a country it deems an enemy, like Iran, Saudi Arabia (suspended), and Venezuela. Foreign policy issues and human rights concerns. Big change in this issue under two administrations concerning Ukraine.

The true reality of this conflict.
The war in Ukraine appears stalled strategically, yet Russia continues making gradual territorial gains, now controlling 20% of the country. Ukrainian forces aim to make advances prohibitively costly for Russia, but this strategy requires sustained troop numbers amid recruitment challenges. Controversial (Ukrainian) draft tactics and desertions highlight manpower shortages, prompting government efforts to improve voluntary recruitment through PR campaigns. Opposition figures argue better conditions – including defined service terms and proper training – could encourage more volunteers. Despite technological advantages, the conflict remains fundamentally reliant on trench warfare and infantry. Ukraine’s persistent disadvantage in troop numbers and artillery underscores the enduring importance of ground forces in this brutal war of attrition.

We lifted the ban on selling weapons to Saudi Arabia 6 months ago.

There are some countries with awful human rights violations and questionable governance practices. I’m not sure I can agree with your theory that those things stop us from selling arms to a country.

Let’s call it what it is- Trump is pissed at Zelensky and refusing to sell him weapons bc of it. He’s leaning on him to end the war and capitulate to Russia bc of the two countries it’s the easier one to make cave.

Yes. We are seeing that with Israel in Gaza. We also supported Iraq during the Iran/Iraq war.

I have talked about my feelings about Zelensky and the Ukrainian government -- not the people. Zelensky could have avoided this conflict or help to put an end to it sooner. It is a numbers game, and the Ukrainian Army will run out of soldiers first. If it even gets to that point.

An interesting fact is that sometimes to end a conflict you go after the civilian population. Really a horrible option, but an option that is currently being used by Israel in Gaza and was used by the US in Germany and Japan in the later stages of WWII. The US military avoided civilian targets in the beginning of the war, but towards the end it no longer gave two-shits. What was labeled as a 'military' target had way more civilians than would normally be accepted. Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Dresden.

The us just bombed a whole ass apartment complex to kill one terrorist. The days of surgical strikes are long gone.

I can’t blame Zelenskyy for wanting to defend his country. Of course there’s always the option to roll over and let another country take over, but why would someone want that?

Always wondered why Russia doesn't send some of those high tech missiles in the decision making centers where Zelensky films every day in the open in Kyiv or at the Rada which extended martial law today in a unanimous voting but has no problem killing Sumy civilians with those missiles?

Zelensky claims over 40% of weapons coming to the front line are now produced in Ukraine.
Ukraine claims more Bhodana SPG's built than all the SPG's in Euro combined.
FPV Drone production estimates for '25 is 4.5 million. America MIC produces apx 800k drones per year total according to google.

Ukraine doesn't get enough credit for the absolutely mind boggling advancement of their MIC. They've gone from nothing to an absolute powerhouse while fighting a war, having their citizens killed and their country bombed.

This is no longer a country that is 97% reliant on the west for new weapon systems.

This is the most efficient MIC in the entire world with a very, very large native military production capacity. If you're a country looking to buy weapon systems for your country Ukraine is going to provide more death and destruction for your dollar than any country on earth.

The gross average wage in Ukraine is $477 per month FFS.

Just pay for it already. Their MIC is insane and west can't match their PPP advantages. We have the money. Make the country a specialized economy.

Another old tech that's coming back in a very big way is barbed wire. It's cheap, UGVs make it easy to deploy and combined with FPV's it stops meat waves in their tracks.

Especially if they're on crutches.

Pretty sure that's Baba Yaga.

Russia continues the meat waves.

Political commentator James Carville on why Russia will push for a 30-day ceasefire soon and how they'll play Pres. Trump to get it.
