International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

If little man 'Z' had any balls, he would drop one of these missiles in the Kremlin.

And if little Putin had any balls, he'd drop a nuke onto Kyiv.

Gotta admit. Its really strange to see yas critising the oppositions leader for not killing more of the people you support and not escalating it to ww3...

Im sure thats now how its intended but lol its a strange read.

That guys a pussy for not taking the most heinous actions ?

Heh so odd [ how ive read it ]

San Retardo had just notitied the war room that just 1 old bomber got destroyed.
I 'm going based on what @Strychnine posted on #14,291. Yeap, it did say one (1).
You never were very good at keeping up with posts.
When are you packing your bags to go fight in Ukraine little 'Rholk.'

Rus claims Ukr hit a skyscraper in the center of Rostov city tonight with UAV's.

Yeah, destroying one (1) Russian bomber is going to make a huge change in this conflict. Ukraine is now winning the conflict after a TU-95 is taken out of commission. When is Ukraine getting their 20% of stolen territory back now that they are beating the Russian Army?

Is that the new strategy for Ukraine? Hitting Russian targets inside Russia while Russia is still holding 20% of Ukraine? Oh, yeah, the oil refinery. What is Ukraine going to hit next inside of Russia? Slowly making their way up to Moscow.

You don't get it do you?

It's not that a bomber was taken out, it's the fact that a bomber was taken out at one of Russia's top military airbases. That's like a B-2 bomber getting hit if it were at Travis, AFB. California.

It's a MASSIVE morale hit for Russia and a boost for Ukraine.

You know what?

You're right.

I should've made my point more succinctly.

In before "BBBBbbuuut! Oh yeah!!! Russia can churn out strategic bomber pilots in ONE WEEK!!!!!"

{<diva}

Yeah, it doesn't work that way.

As a retired Airman, let me inform the thread that it takes around one calendar year to train a strategic bomber pilot, and it costs around $10M to do so.

You are right. I don't get it.
How is any of this improving the situation on the ground for Ukraine?
A morale hit for Russia would be losing 5% of the territory they have occupied. Anything outside the conflict on the ground in Eastern Ukraine does not count for anything. A morale boost for Ukraine would be taking back 5% of territory taken by the Russians. A Russian oil refinery here, a Russian air base there. Makes no difference. Is this how Ukraine is now measuring success in this conflict? Three years of war and Russia still holds 20% of Ukraine. Now, a hit in Moscow with a high casualty rate could be considered a MASSIVE morale hit for Russia. Russia currently has 900,000 casualties. 250,000 killed in the conflict. Yeah, one TU-95 bomber is not even a blip on the radar of almost 1 million casualties. Both attacks by Ukraine will not help win a peace process for this conflict. Again, Zelensky is prolonging this war.

It improves the situation on the ground to show that Russia isn't invincible on their own territory.

If it makes no difference, then why hasn't Russia just taken ALL of Ukraine in their 3-day "Special Military Operation?" Russia is closing in 1 MILLION troops as casualties and the Russian populace won't tolerate this situation forever.

All Ukraine has to do is continue to stand firm.

Hey guys remember 3 years ago when I said Zelensky should make a deal, give up the donbass and crimea, sign a peace deal, and agree not to join NATO because that was the absolute best case scenario?

Remember when 99% of you said I was wrong, couldn't provide your own version of how the war would end, and ultimately ended up telling me Ukraine would win the war?

3 years later, hundreds of thousands of dead, who ended up being right? You guys know exactly what I'm talking about. Would a starcraft grandmaster let a larger force attack them, knowing they could not defend against it without constant help? Or would the grandmaster sign a peace deal, and reinforce his army in order to prepare for a future attack?

What do you guys think the starcraft grandmaster would have done?

A new F-16 fighter costs around $35 million (potentially reaching $60 to $70 million with improvements) and lasts for roughly 17 years. A bomber pilot in the U.S. Air Force will on average leave service after 10 years. The planes will last longer than the pilots. A soldier in the U.S. Army (on active duty) is in for roughly 4 years. Many will continue for another 4 years in the reserves or the IRR.

Not if they get smoked in a strike on their home base...

You don't think they knew that on day 1 of the invasion?
If it makes no difference, then why hasn't Russia just taken ALL of Ukraine in their 3-day "Special Military Operation?"
...because Russia has not declared war on Ukraine and has a limited number of soldiers available for the operation.
Why hasn't the Ukrainian Army pushed Russian troops back to their original border in 3 years of fighting? Ukraine has declared war against Russia and is currently using all manpower available, plus, lots of help from the west with military equipment.

But Russia is all that and a bucket of borscht! This should be child's play for them.

Well, if Russia was getting the same help from the West that Ukraine is getting, maybe they would have taken over all of Ukraine after 3 years of war. There is not going to be a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine because in truth neither side wants one. Ukraine will lose this conflict in the long run. Be it in another year or another 10 years.
