A russian well known war blogger is writing a book on the SMO and has published a portion of it on Telegram:
During the invasion of the Kursk region, the enemy used the tactics of ranger groups. This is what the British planned back during the Kharkov operation of 2022: launch a sabotage and reconnaissance group on active drive, followed by motorized maneuver groups. We have a repeat of the mistakes - loss of control, no communication. They captured several special communications installations, called, causing chaos and panic.
A classic modern offensive operation. They pulled up electronic warfare, aviation to evacuate the wounded, bringing in reinforcement units. They did not rest against every populated area, they rushed through it. These are our unlearned lessons of 22. Many prisoners. There are "removed" checkpoints that were shot, because they served there in a relaxed manner, not expecting an attack. Our groups fell into ambushes, because they did not think that saboteurs would penetrate so far.
As I've said previously AFU have shown they have a very good first round but are not very good at sustaining a long back and forth positional battle.

I think that Ukr gubbermint and officials are not smart.
Because EU countries already are slow and selfish, if to add here that collective decisions are very slow, only one realistic hope is to negotiate with countries on individual basis.
There biggest mistake is to push propaganda like you will be next etc clown show like idiotism.
Such propaganda in real life induces refusal to deplete stockpiles and does work like nail in coffin...for Ukr...real life.

To talk about reconstruction. Especally long term plans etc.
Pharse construction for high % of european voters means 2004-2008 mortgage and construction bubble with rapidly increased prices....and politicians at first will think what stuff their voters will think not about Ukr demands and dreams....
