International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

You are talking about money you will need for reconstruction after war, don't you know that today you have war in Ukraine and maybe should pay attention to current needs for your country today?

EC . October 2022 th.

It is amazing how all the lies and death really just comes down to this. Greed. Money. Economic potential and power.

Humans are really a fucked up species. Thousands dead and millions displaced and fleeing.. because of minerals. Fucking pathetic and depressing.
They does have also stuff in western Ukraine. Putin and his friends are competent in mining industry and they not only does want to grab resources, also to deny their enemies access to resources. Westerners in Russia are assumed as dreamers living in debts and lazy idiots. Real life.

Yes, that would make things much easier for Ukraine, but fighting an insurgency is what broke the Soviet Union and Ukraine would definitely wage an insurgency campaign.

Can't fight an insurgency if they don't have weapons. Europe needs to provide the weapons.

It's honestly quite pathetic. The GDP of all the European nations absolutely dwarfs Russia. If they really wanted to, they could out-manufacture weapons easily.

Europe has to.

It's like there's a raging fire nearby and you have time and ability to dig a firebreak to save your home and the homes of your neighbors.

Time to start digging.

This is such a massive military blunder that the ones who ordered this HAVE to working for Ukraine.

Russian demographic report.

Stuff about electricity is mainly mainstream media clickbait empty bullshit.

Now Lukashenko had disconnected 4 high voltage power lines for Kaliningrad oblastj supplies. They weren't connected with Baltic grid network.
Kaliningrad smoothly maintained to keep frequency and at least this hour they didn't had disconnected internet cables ( optic cables from Russia via Belarus to Kaliningrad ).
They in Kaliningrad had been told 1 year ago about necessity to fill storages etc ...
Kaliningrad does have normal internet and heating, electricity supplied smoothly in normal regime. Lineage St Pete area till Kalinigrad via baltics is working smoothly for optic cables, what will do Lukashenko we don't know.

Insurgency idiotism idea remains from 1945-1956 western dreams that it will repeat.

When nice west had literally sold part of Europe for Stalin and in 1990 ies still cocky labeled them as eastern euro etc.... like some cavemans.
Nice west had traded with them and talked nice talks in 1920 ies and 1930 ies.... when was more lucrative then sold them under the table.

Then appeared that they does needs intelligence info and better almost for free. Especially cos then sattelites were not used.

Therefore nice drinking and partying with Soviets and friendly trading with them and under the table cheap tools like Radio Free Europe and American Voice etc.

Just business, nothing personal.
While yanks and bits does have illusions to see next ukr or kurds while had told in business courses what reality is business ....

Dreamers are anglo saxonians and especially bits and yanks. Ukr were last kurds No2 you will use.....Cope.

Ammo depots are going up and Russians are now on horseback. What happened to the IFV's?

Pro tip: The anti-drone cloak doesn't work if you move, or a body part is sticking out from underneath it.

Hitler is pushing a bit, he is told that Special operation is going as had been planned.

Unfortunately Putin still does have money and maybe is thinking like Girkin.
Girkin in February 2022 th told that Russia will liberate from occupation ( yup ) Luhansk and Donetsk oblastjs in 1-2 months. After this filtration and deNazification etc stuff.
Internet is cool stuff, easy to see stuff posted long ago.

Unfortunately pro Kremlin oriented west initially had provided low number of MRLS and long range arty ....this was partially fatal mistake.

Initially they had used large ammo depots enough close to frontline and soldiers had posted a lot of shit and stuff in pro Kremlin oriented channels. Sometimes fear from partisans was enough high and they had placed soldiers in the same rooms where arty & mortars ammo etc stuff stored .
Later they has started to monitor mobile phones usage etc and started to distribute units and ammo depots like smaller size stuff but more " units ", better camouflage these etc.
After this ofc RF warfare had been used more and more....

Girkin would never negotiate though, he is a piece of shit but he is a true believer of his own (wrong) ideology and as much as I oppose it I can also "respect" it, because it has some intellectuallity behind it. Putin doesn't really have an ideology or the capacity to digest it, he only does the next best thing which secures him a few more years in power. For the west we are lucky we had to fight Putin and not Girkin as I am sure with the latter the results would have been quite more negative

GDP is a poor measure of industrial potential. Europe's GDP comes mostly from banking, finance, consumer spending, and service industries, that shit ain't gonna build tanks or other modern weapons in industrial quantities. What they need is a ton of heavy industry and Germany is the only EU nation which really has that. France & Sweden have some but not nearly enough to make a difference. The problem with heavy industry is the capital costs are massive and profit margins are slim, which means no one's gonna build it unless they absolutely have to since the lead time is measured in years and there's not much of a payoff at the end. Then add in high energy costs compared to the rest of the world and it just ain't happening unless the EU wants to throw a few trillion dollars at it. And even then they'll probably be tied up with environmental assessments & red tape for years.

It would not cost trillions first of all. And Russia can barely manufacture anything either. As evidenced by having to get artillery from North Korea.

PENTAGON —
Russia's military is bigger and stronger than it was prior to invading Ukraine in February 2022, the commander of United States Air Forces in Europe and Africa cautioned Tuesday.

"Russia is getting larger, and they're getting better than they were before. … They are actually larger than they were when [the invasion] kicked off," Air Force General James Hecker told reporters at the Air & Space Forces Association's annual Air, Space & Cyber Conference.

Maybe you'd like explain how a nation which you claim can barely make anything somehow has a larger & better military than it did 3 years ago.

This article just says they have increased the number of troops. But that they don't have the resources and weapons to support them.

"However, William Pomeranz, a senior scholar at the Kennan Institute, told VOA that "this move suggests that Vladimir Putin is losing the war."

"This is an open signal from Vladimir Putin that his army and his military is in trouble and doesn't have the resources to maintain troops in the field," Pomeranz said."

Things are going so amazingly Russia is resorting to using donkeys. Russia is nearing the end of their tank supplies. Russians are resorting to using Chinese civilian vehicles and motorcycles. Russia is doing so great that their artillery shelling is only somewhat more frequent than Ukraine. Russia no longer has an answer for Ukrainian drones.

The reality is Russia is taking a bunch of small pyrrhic victories and does not have a ton of time left. In another couple years they may be completely SOL. If US/Europe/NATO continue to support Ukraine, Russia will eventually implode. Whether Trump will allow for that that's another question.

Russia may have a larger army on paper but if they don't have the logistics to support them then that's nearly meaningless. How will Russia clothe, feed and supply its troops? Its best of the best were in Ukraine at the start. While current troops may be battle tested, I doubt they are the best of the best.

JD Vance lost all respect from his speech and Europe knows they have to step up which they should anyhow. Maybe Zelenski should talk to Germany and other Euro Nations about the natural resources if Trump is going to play games and give Euro countries a reason to help more.
Vance did not lose any respect. The Europeans have been lazy in building their own Army and paying their dues in NATO. The United States is not the world's 'sugar-daddy.' At least not under Trump. Rare Earth Elements are found in other parts of the world. Ukraine does not hold the market on them. China, Vietnam, Brazil, and Australia have REEs available to the US.

Ukraine and Europe out of the US/Russia talks in Saudi Arabia. 🤣
Man, things have just gone from bad to worse for Zelensky.
