I don't think this war will be over in 24 hours, 3 months, or 1 year. Russia will clearly come out on top and may end up taking 30% to 40% of Ukraine when it is all said and done. Three years of this conflict and not much has changed. The Ukrainian Army is getting weaker while the Russian Army is getting stronger. Killing a few Russians and North Koreans here and there will not bring Ukraine a victory. Ukraine needs a much, much, bigger Army to defeat the Russians.

Western Ukraine will not be affected by this conflict. Russia (Putin) wants the Eastern part of Ukraine and no NATO membership. Is that so hard to agree on? I think most Ukrainians would be happy with this solution if it would bring this conflict to an end. Ukraine did not do shit when Russia invaded Crimea in 2014. In 2022 Uncle Joe told Putin it was okay for him to invade Ukraine. Putin had the blessings of the United States. With these two 'green' flags, Putin thought an invasion of the East would be as easy as the 2014 invasion.

I don't think Trump will end this conflict in 3 months or a year. Russia (Putin) now has the upper hand and will negotiate on its term, not Trump's. How does anyone else see this conflict ending? If I was Ukraine (Zelensky), I would let Russia keep the Eastern portion of Ukraine it is currently occupying (Novorossiya) and agree to not request NATO membership. Ukraine is not getting lost territory back and is likely to lose more territory if this conflict continues.

Had Ukraine not had Western help, it would have toppled in about 3 weeks. As it stands, Ukraine has taken 3 years to burn through its military arsenal and manpower, European military arsenal, and US military arsenal.
