Russia capturing Robytne(which should be happening in a few days) is going to be a pivotal moment because thats the only thing Ukraine captured in its "counteroffensive".

Its right on a border they've been invaded through 5 times. The US hasn't faced a land invasion, but if Mexico agreed to let China place bases in Mexico, we would be in Mexico City the next day, and I would see no problem with it.

It is a responsibility of government to respond to existential threats to the nation.
Ukraine wasn't going to join NATO or host foreign military bases. They wanted to join the EU for the economic benefits at the expense of Russia's own economic union.

A friend of mine thinks Putin is completely off the rails over the West and sold out his Country to make deals with Countries who don't have Russia best interests at heart. The long term economic impact will be decades as he has seek to keep China and India in his camp by staying out of it.

He thinks not billions but trillions have been forfeited by Putin in terms of the very things that could have made Russia a true super power. I asked him what would have made him rush into this war? He thinks Putin realizes he is in his 70's and wants to bring back the USSR and wants to before he passes to setup the next leader. Leadership of the makings of the USSR. But what he did not think about the amount of efforts by western nations to undermine his efforts.

This is the reason why Ukraine put boots on Russian Ground to prove that their weapons are doing damage to Russia. The Russian Warship was hit by a storm shadow and permanently damaged not what Putin is saying that the ship is repairable.

"MOSCOW, Dec 27 (Reuters) - A move by Japan to provide Patriot air defence systems to Ukraine will have "grave consequences" for Russia-Japan ties, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.

Relations between Moscow and Tokyo, already difficult, have deteriorated sharply since Russia sent tens of thousands of troops into Ukraine in Feb. 2022. Japan has joined its Western allies in imposing sweeping economic sanctions on Russia."

So that's what you think..... man your sources lately are top notch

what they shoot down now.
I thought you may like this one it is remotely possible that the US and Ukraine are playing a game on Russia by Ukrainians flying F-16 but not engaging but firing longer range rockets to take out Russia jets. They could be using a longer range radar that has top secret designation and rockets that can hit up to 300 kilometers away "nearly 190 miles away". Russian fighter jets radar lack the range to go beyond 150 to 200 kilometers away they are blind and the rockets travel at mach 4 towards the target. Everybody thinks it is the Patriot missile batteries but Ukraine only currently have 3 of them. These planes are far enough a part that would put them out of range of the Patriot missile batteries. This would be a brilliant move an possibly they are flying out of another Country so people don't see them flying over Ukraine by taking off Ukrainian runways or have a secret runway or base to fly out of . Anyway a military guy on a network thrown out the potential idea.

"In the early hours of December 26, a Ukrainian missile strike damaged Russia's Novocherkassk landing ship in Crimea. Russian-aligned or anti-Ukrainian Telegram channels have since speculated that an F-16 was used to fire the cruise missiles at the Russian vessel, and what threat the jets in Ukraine's hands could pose to the Kremlin."

That was a huge success, not only the ship but it seemed to be full of weapons as by the massive explosions that went on. I guess Putler will have to send some cruise missiles into apt buildings to retaliate.
took out another ship moored near it and damaged another one as well

My sources I just shared was speculating but if it's costing the US an allies 120 plus billion how much damage to the Russian economy is going to cost Russia.? They are selling oil and technology for vastly below what they could have gotten for it without starting the war. Russia really does not have much outside of energy oil and natural gas hardly going to sustain an economy at a cut to China and India. Just speculating here how much of a cut Russia taking on their very important energy sector? Never mind the loss of people in the 18 to 35 age group being mowed over by Ukraine and top scientists it gets better they may try to activate people in Europe and overseas who left Russia to fight in the war good luck with that one.

Russian Telegram channels stop publishing FAB glide bomb videos in Kherson in the last 5 days, indicating they can't operate close to the front line without the risk of being shot down.

This interesting an may help get aid to countries like Ukraine. Sullivan a Republican from Alaska has been a voice for Republicans in the past. This could turn really a big deal. Joni Ernst from Iowa weighed in with support to Ukraine. She has ties with some on the more Trump leaning end. She a Veteran an served in Iraq.
"
Sullivan called the blockade “a national security suicide mission,” and said the Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin were loving it."
