Indeed, but the German defeat in Europe would not have happened without Soviet help. The Soviets attacked from the East, while British and Americans attacked from the West. Plus, the US was fighting a second front in the Pacific against the Japanese at the same time.

Yes it would, eventually the US would had dropped a nuke in Berlin if things came to blows, Nazis had no ways to win the war once they lost the battle for the sea and air, Allies could had continued to bomb Germany with impunity forever.

You really believe that?
If Ukraine had nukes it would launch it against Russia if it was invaded in a conventional war. That would be 'suicide' would it not?
Do you really think the US and Russia cannot fight a conventional war without nukes?
I'm amazed at the amount of people that believe that.
I think that between the choice of being nuked (destroyed) or surrendering, most countries would choose to surrender. Like the Japanese.
You can die now (nuked) or live to fight another day. Everyone knows the results of being the first one to strike with nuclear weapons.
Both sides know that going nuclear would destroy both countries. They can still fight a conventional war.

You don't have to believe anything or taking anything I say on faith. North Korea is a perfect example of this. Russia would absolutely not risk a nuclear war. This strategy has worked since the 1950s. Name one nuclear state that Russia invaded or that US invaded or went to war with.

I am literally spelling out the script of War Games movie to you. All sides know what is on the line when a weaker nation has no real means to defend itself other than nukes. Obviously if NATO told Ukraine not to use nukes and that NATO would intervene and help militarily to help fight a conventional war maybe Ukraine would go accordingly. However the assumption is that Russia would be stupid enough to attack nuclear Ukraine and Ukraine would be left on its own. Again Russia would not be stupid enough to test a nuclear Ukraine. It would make even less sense than this current war.

You'll occasionally get cross border pissing matches between India/Pakistan or India/China but that's all it is. They are quickly resolved.

Wagner Chief Says Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine Unjustified

Russia did not face an imminent security threat to justify its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of Russia’s Wagner mercenary outfit, said in a bombshell video posted on social media Friday.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine were not going to attack Russia with the NATO bloc,” Prigozhin explained in the half-hour tirade released by his press service.

“The Russian Defense Ministry is deceiving the public and the president,” he added.

Prigozhin’s comments were at odds with the casus belli given by President Vladimir Putin when he ordered troops into Ukraine last February, although the private army chief avoided personally attacking the Russian leader.

Putin has cited NATO expansion near Russia's borders as one of the main justifications for invading neighboring Ukraine.....

Was in the city center today, didn't see anything with my own eyes.
There has been some patrols deployed 2 days ago because of the info that Ukrainian intelligence may be planning something so there were some RosGuard units and some armored vehicles near ministry of defence building and some others.
I do not have any credible info on this affair with the Wagner group, telegram channels are full of contradicting info. I have seen videos of Surovikin and another high ranking general addressing Prigozhin, but do not have the exact info on whether Wagner PMC actually did anything or not.

There is no PMC Wagner left in Bakhmut, this is Ukrainian propaganda.
Wagner moved out of Bakhmut to regroup long time ago. However Prigozhin can still make a move, and it will be indeed wild if he does.

We are living in a cartoonishly mad world. Honestly I will not be too surprised if aliens invaded tomorrow instead of Wagner PMC.
