Not sure if you're being obtuse or just trolling but I think it's fairly obvious that Russia knowing that Ukraine would only have the option of launching its nukes in a full on invasion scenario would not invade. If Russia invades against a nuclear Ukraine, it would be nuclear war.
You really believe that?
If Ukraine had nukes it would launch it against Russia if it was invaded in a conventional war. That would be 'suicide' would it not?
Do you really think the US and Russia cannot fight a conventional war without nukes?
I'm amazed at the amount of people that believe that.
I think that between the choice of being nuked (destroyed) or surrendering, most countries would choose to surrender. Like the Japanese.
You can die now (nuked) or live to fight another day. Everyone knows the results of being the first one to strike with nuclear weapons.
Both sides know that going nuclear would destroy both countries. They can still fight a conventional war.

If the Japanese had nukes they would had launched them no fucking doubt, man what's up with your idiotic analogies.

Finland was never part of the USSR now, was it? It has no history with Russia.

Following Swedish losses in the 1808-1809 Finnish War with Russia, Finland became part of the Russian Empire from 1809 until its independence in 1917.

I would say Finland has a long history with Russia.
I am sure you know about the winter war..

lmao the Finns and Russians have been having land disputes since ancient times.
So, you are saying Finland was part of the Soviet Union? Like Ukraine was?
Do you know the difference between a border dispute and being part of a larger union?

Well, yes, my friend. The US struck them with nukes first.
If Japan had nukes prior to Hiroshima, would they have used it against the Americans not knowing if Americans had nukes? Probably.
Would they have used it knowing the US had nukes? No.

I don't think Russia's neighbors need to be former members of the USSR to be threatened by Russia's actions.

Do you not know Russia literally tried to invade Finland in the 1940s to bring them into the USSR?

(But fell flat our their face and settled for a land grab at a laughably tremendous cost similar to the current conflict)

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — The owner of the Wagner private military contractor escalated his direct challenge to the Kremlin on Friday, calling for an armed rebellion aimed at ousting Russia’s defense minister. The security services reacted immediately by opening a criminal investigation into Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Prigozhin posted a series of angry video and audio recordings in which he accused Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu of ordering a rocket strike Friday on Wagner’s field camps in Ukraine, where his troops are fighting on behalf of Russia.

Prigozhin said his troops would now punish Shoigu in an armed rebellion and urged the army not to offer resistance.

“This is not a military coup, but a march of justice,” Prigozhin declared.

The National Anti-Terrorism Committee, which is part of the Federal Security Services, said he would be investigated on charges of calling for an armed rebellion. The state news agency Tass said President Vladimir Putin was kept informed.

OK, my tinfoil hat hypothesis on this is that the whole kerfluffle might be a ruse, an elaborate hoax meant to give Putin the pretext he needs to withdraw from Ukraine without admitting defeat. “I’m sorry comrades but we must pause the glorious liberation of our Ukrainian brothers and sisters from the gay, Jewish, Nazi, fascists oppressors in order to deal with the vile, pig, insurrectionist Prigozhen - who will be dealt with swiftly and severely and will receive a 12-20 year prison sentence (commuted) for his crimes. But trust us comrades, we will get back to those gay Jewish Nazis another day…”

I'm referring to the Soviet Union. To when Russia and Ukraine were part of the Soviet Union. You are predating the creation of the USSR.

Yes, they would had, they were getting their cities razed down via firebombing and their population was facing starvation from all the naval blockades, the fight was existential for them after all the crimes they committed.

I mean, there was even a fucking coup attempt on Hirohito because he wanted to surrender, and that's after 2 fucking nukes, the Japanese were willing to fight until the last man.
