If Russia is allowed to hold onto Donbas, Putin achieved his goals and won. Why in the world world Ukraine agree to that when they have all the momentum?

The deal was Donbas be autonomous. Now we all know Russia will continue it's influence there, but it's not Russian territory or occupation. Seems like a good out to avoid escalation and possible WW3 with nukes involved.

Russia Forced to Raid Abandoned Buildings to Find Deserting Troops: Ukraine

A Russian ammunition box lies on the tarmac, as the Kherson International Airport lies in ruins after being used as a logistics hub and base by the Russian military during more than eight months of occupation, until Russian forces abandoned it and withdrew in November, on February 14, 2023 in Kherson, Ukraine. The Ukraine Armed Forces reports that Russia is raiding abandoned buildings to find military deserters.

"Ukrainian officials released an audio intercept on Sunday detailing "significant desertion among Wagner Group convict recruits and continued poor operational security among Russian personnel in Ukraine," according to a report from the Institute for the Study of War.

"Due to the high rates of desertion from the ranks of the Russian occupation forces, massive raids have been conducted in the Chaplinsky district of Kherson region since February 20, 2023," the Armed Forces said, adding that "particular attention" is paid to abandoned houses and buildings.

In the audio intercept, a Russian solider claimed that 202 Wagner Group convict recruits deserted with their weapons from a position near Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.

The Wagner Group is a Russian paramilitary organization considered to be a pseudo private army for Russian President Vladimir Putin. The group has reportedly recruited convicts to fight for Russia on the frontlines. It has been accused of being used to hide atrocities conducted in the Russia-Ukraine war to allow Russian deniability."

All is going according to plan?

Next idiotism propaganda flowchart might be easily debunked with reality.

In 2010 th Russia had signed rent agreement to prolong naval base rent agreement in Sevastopol....
On this document are Putin's, Medvedev's and Shoigu signatures.
And text that Crimea is Ukraine.

" Contract subject : rent agreement for naval base territory in Ukraine, Sevastopol city "

So for Russia papers doesn't matter anything......

Russia does have military base in Moldova and in territory annexed by separatists....30 years in row....they are calling this as " peacekeeping mission base ".
Doesn't looks that " bad west " had claimed that they should withdraw this base...

When Russia started to claim about " bad life for russians in Donbas " they had been offered to install U.N peacekeeping mission.
China, concerned about " bad life for russians in dumbass " supported this offer.
Russia used their veto right in UN security council and banned this to happen...

More than this : one from these recently conquested cities according to citizens register had 59% ukrainian and 38% russian population.....
So why this should be part of Russia?
Cos uncle Putin does have nukes?
Yeah, and fertilisers and natural gas and crude oil = main reson why west always will prefer better to love russis than ukraine.

Harkov is....de facto city russian city but these russians doesn't want to be in ruSSia....
It was amazing how they when had fight and yelled in russian with 0 accent....
These russians had kicked back russian military....

__
All these talks about nationalities and languages are designed for mainstream media consumers.

This fight is fight for land and resources grab......
This.
Oligarchy and Kremlin doesn't actually cares nor about russians nor language....
About hegemony yes....and about resources grab.

They multiple times had proved that they doesn't care nor about people in Russia nor about russians aboard....

Annexion of Crimea for russian taxpayers was damn bad outcome.
Crimea didn't managed to be pearl and diamonds of tourism again.
Where 1950-1991 rich russians and ukrainians, belarus ppl dreamed to spent time and money.
Crimea is burden for Russian Federal Budget and is sitting on subsidies from central budget.
Cecnya too is sitting on russia's taxpayers necks in order to provide enough $ to Kadirov....

Bypass variant was also about attempts to turn Sochi in new tourism center. In USSR era it was relatively prestigious area for tourism. Not like Crimea...

Guys, Crimea in USSR was for them the same as Las Vegas and Florida for americans in U.S.

Sochi had pumped in billions from federal budget....taxpayers money, yeah...
Now majority of these hotels, restaurants and so on...are empty....

"Autonomous" is another word for completely controlled by Russia under a puppet government.

And doesn't answer the question of why Ukraine would agree to that. It was their territory.

Also how they are fighting doesn't shows that they care about russian guys lifes at all.

There aren't mariupols anymore, where Ukr were damn stupid tactically....

In a lot of cases armed forces of russia might bypassed certain cities and advanced forward with little losses....

Instead they opted to fight battles in cities, where ofc

For example battle for Soledar.
Armed forces of ukraine abadoned city only when didn't had anymore ammunition for mortars....cos this.
Imagine how " low " were rus side casualities?

This already was predictable outcome.

In russia casual flowchart is to keep guys with criminal record as far from any weapons as it is possible....
Cos they does know what will happen.

Now?
To get released from prison before end of term, provided with weapons : it is dream for aggressive criminals....
Ofc they are thinking about their own real goals not how to help motherRussia to deNazify something...

They might desert with weapons or at least sell some weapons, grenades, cartridges to anyone who will offer to pay more....

release from prison thiefs and robbers, issue them weapons and ammo and to dream that....yup...

youre such a fraud....

criticize any country or government or just the one your western masters tell you to?

so we're changing the script now... what a surprise!

when did he say that or did he say something else and you, like a true hack, are just distorting what he said?

the only pressure put on him was from the west to make all sort of change to his country and in return he would get a 600 billion euro loan. on the other hand russia gave him 15 billion (he was asking for 20) and cheaper gas with no other stipulations.

no idea how you concluded that it was "pressure from russia"? you mean he wasn't gonna get that 15 billion if he signs with europe? no way!!!

after being removed from office in a coup and mickey mouse vote that didn't have enough votes

nice deflection... doesn't mean it didn't happen

he was almost legally impeached... so close enough! true democracy indeed!

still a mickey mouse vote and had nothing to do with him not signing eu deal like you claimed.

thats the best you got?

i guess you should join ukraine in the battle for democracy against evil russia hordes

Man i wish you were to apply your impossible standards to dear Russia.

You guys don't believe in democracy or legitimacy, so why are you bitching? even if Yanukovych resigning had been a coup, Ukraine has had elections since that day.

He's mostly wrong but is also full of shit cause Russia respects nothing especially autonomy of any kind, familial or otherwise. The only people that applaud this nonsense are those that don't have to actually like in shithole Russia, like @San Marino, @White Whale and others. They can comfortably sit in the west and root for unholy Russia like shit eating goblins

"Autonomous" is another word for completely controlled by Russia under a puppet government.

And doesn't answer the question of why Ukraine would agree to that. It was their territory.
Russia: "Give us your territory or we will fight you."
Ukraine: "Fuck off."
Internet Chuds: "Ukraine picked a fight."

Kremlin's propagandist Kiselov: " spanish people are pigs eating food from russia. We should starve these neonazistic spanish pigs till death."
This is for russian audithory so he is shitting in russian language for rus channels...
Stuff easy to find if use google with keywords typed in russian language.

Prighozin better stay away from windows for a while. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

Will be an interesting turn if the Russian military establishment manages to destroy Wagner.

“The head of Russia’s Wagner mercenary group has said Moscow’s military chiefs are refusing to supply the group with munitions and are seeking to destroy it, accusing them of “treason”, in an escalation of the war of words between senior Russian officials and the private army boss.”

Going to take months because each missile must be x-rayed to make sure they don't explode inside the HIMARS and blows it up.

we could be wrong, looks like they may have gotten some...

  • Russian forces continued ground assaults along the Svatove-Kreminna line in the Luhansk Oblast.
  • Russian forces continued offensive operations around Bakhmut as well as in the Avdiivka-Donetsk City area and western Donetsk Oblast.
  • Ukrainian officials reported that Russian forces may be struggling to repair air defense systems deployed in Ukraine.

Speaking of Rybar, it claims (without providing proof or saying how they know) that "at least one" Ukrainian M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, or HIMARS crew "arrived in Bogatyr, which received" the Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB).

That claim about the weapons being deployed in that Donetsk Oblast city, or anywhere else in Ukraine, could not be independently verified. As it sits at this time, we have seen no indications GLSDB has arrived in Ukraine, but details regarding its acquisition and eventual deployment have been very limited.

"As with any [U.S. Security Assistance Initiative] announcement, it will take several weeks to months to procure, depending on the contracting, production, and delivery timelines for each piece of equipment," Marine Lt. Col. Garron Garn, a Pentagon spokesman, told The War Zone Tuesday in response to whether any GLSDBs have been delivered to Ukraine. "Additionally, we will leave it to the Ukrainians to announce the use of the security [aid] provided in order to maintain an advantage on the battlefield."
The Ukrainians have not announced the arrival, let alone the deployment of those weapons, which were officially promised to Kyiv on Feb. 3.

The weapon was developed by Boeing in partnership with Saab of Sweden as a combination of two existing systems. Each GLSDB round is made up of the air-launched 250-pound GBU-39/B SDB, while the rocket motor is from the 227mm-caliber M26 artillery rocket which are fired by the HIMARS as well as the M270 MLRS. You can read more about it in our reporting here. With a range of around 94 miles, or 150 kilometers, the GLSDB can reach targets more than twice as far away as the munitions fired by the HIMARS and M270.

they may actually be keeping it quiet

so by your logic nobody should've declared war on germany cause of number of casualties?

got it!

Active fighting killed less than unexploded ordnance from the stats I've read. You don't have any stats?

I'd post them but I think you'd just dismiss them as western propaganda while providing no evidence at all.
