This. Comedian is her job not her nature.
Clown is her nature.
This. Comedian is her job not her nature.
Well, it was fun comeback while it lasted.
Baby steps, indeed.I respect the fact that you showed restraint today and didn't immediately try to spin and defend the tweet. Baby steps.
It was paying well, too...Disagree. Her base adores making martyrs out of racist people who get in trouble for being racist. This will play well.
Either way, the show is over.Is this a big deal? She seems like a garden variety Trumpster. Can't imagine her audience would stop watching over this.
Apparently, ABC cares.Offensive jokes about race are no worse than offensive jokes about looks, financial standing, disabilities, etc.
No one cares about your outrage over people of color. Get over yourself. If she made a joke about inbred rednecks raping their daughters, you wouldn't label her a hateful, whatever. You'd probably smirk.
0/10 terrible gif, nelson says “Haw Haw” not “Ha Ha”
But thre was no comedy, not set up, no punchline, just a random racist tweet. I am all for comedy, but that was not an actual joke.
You're saying, for sure, that you know she wasn't trying to be funny there. Quite a claim.I completely disagree here. Just because she is a comedian does not mean everything she says is a joke.
She is also a CT spouting racist.
I put this in the second category.
I am claiming I do not think she was. And she herself has not used that as an excuse (claims it was ambien). You're saying, for sure, that you know she wasn't trying to be funny there. Quite a claim.
And comics are comics around the clock.
It does matter. And I'm going to smash the "she wasn't joking" thing.I am claiming I do not think she was. And she herself has not used that as an excuse (claims it was ambien).
Anywho, does not matter much, whats done is done, and she revealed what type of person she is, comedian or not.
I never thought I'd say this of the right in a situation like this, but this seems like virtue signalling. A good crisp quick win.
http://www.nydailynews.com/entertai...n-tweets-apologizes-jarrett-article-1.4016432"Guys I did something unforgivable so do not defend me," she wrote. "It was 2 in the morning and I was Ambien tweeting. It was Memorial Day, too. I went too far and do not want it defended - it was egregious indefensible. I made a mistake I wish I hadn't but…don't defend it please. Thank you."

Maybe the hackiest most established common premise of a joke is two things having a "baby." Nobody ever says "It's like x and y had a baby" while not trying to be funny. And to this, she adds layers of abstraction, that a movie and a religious/political group had a baby. That's so obviously a joke that I'm fucking ashamed of anybody trying to claim it isn't.
It's not a good joke. It was probably a racist joke. It was clumsy and shitty and she knows it was and she apologized.
It was a fucking joke. Told by a veteran, famous comic.
I completely disagree here. Just because she is a comedian does not mean everything she says is a joke.
She is also a CT spouting racist.
