It’s so telling to see the reaction to this tweet from Trump supporters. They are gleefully celebrating their president deflecting an actress being horribly racist and making the issue about himself. It doesn’t even seem like they want Trump to behave like a civilized adult. Really really sad the state we are in.
Pointing out inconsistency is not "playing the victim". A little cringey to refer to himself as Donald J Trump, but it's also cringey to call Valerie Jarrett for approval. They're free to cancel the show on their network for whatever reason they want, but Wanda Sykes just had a joke calling Trump an orangutan and is now outraged that Roseanne made a similar joke about Valerie Jarrett.
he said "house n****r"Maher did make a very racist joke and there was talk of him getting fired. I’ll have to google it
he said "house n****r"
some posters were talking about it earlier
What about her freedom of speech?Yea it obviously was, why is that so hard to admit? even if it wasn't a joke what about her free speech ?
ABC has floated tons of ghastly language as long as it's against Trump.
Why would he ask for an apology for what was said "on ABC" then?
maybe, still pretty fucked up for him to say itI believe he said "ni**a" with an A.
He called himself that, not someone else. It was in very poor taste, but it wasn't racist. So ABC should apologize to Trump because HBO allowed Maher to call someone else a "house n****r"?
Trump is spot on.
The comment was bad but mostly due to optics, as the women in question does indeed resemble the character from that movie.

why wasnt ESPN referenced in his tweet then? are you saying Trumps alphabet skills are that weak he mistakes "ESPN" for "ABC"?Maybe abc should have insisted that the anchor was fired since they are the parent company and have the power.
Any insult is equally outrageous as an insult based on race.so it wasnt racism? ok then, apologies.
can you provide some evidence of insults that are equivalent to racism then? something equally as outrageous? genuinely asking as I rarely watch american news segments
So you’re genuinely saying telling a black person their shirt is ugly is equal to telling them they look like an ape?Any insult is equally outrageous as an insult based on race.
People are just losing their fucking minds whenever someone says something that can even remotely be linked to race.

Telling someone their shirt is ugly isn't necessarily an insult. So you’re genuinely saying telling a black person their shirt is ugly is equal to telling them they look like an ape?
