My bad, I should've edited that, makes my point very confusing.

IMO she got robbed by one judge that gave the 5th round a 10-8, which made it a draw, when it never should have been a 10-8 round by any possible metric. She would've won a decision if that judge didn't make the most egregious round scoring error of all-time in a title fight.

By UFC scoring metrics it's a 48-47 either way, to give it 47-47 based on the 5th round being 10-8 is literally criminal negligence.

You would say she wasn't robbed and that round 5 was a 10-8? Only 1.5% of people on MMA decisions thought so (1 in 75). If you are saying you thought Grasso won round 3 then yeah I can see that view and that's why I said it could be 48-47 either way.

Nope, JJ danced around her with real elite footwork and didn't succumb to the pressure. Zhang Brutalized her as it was a perfect match to end in under a round. One or the other was going down.

Even after Rose blitzed her to win the title we always saw shades of what happened in Rose/Carla 1 (broke mentally grappling) or Rose/Karolina (broke mentally in the clinch) or Rose/Jessica 1+2 (broke from pressure) or Zhang 2 (turned into a lay n' pray grappler in rounds 4+5). Basically she has the athleticism, the talent, the technique, but completely lacks the head-game; she either blitzes you and puts you out of there early, or gets dragged into a war that makes her more and more defensive and aversive to actually "fight" and just turns into a running point-fighter in some instances.

I can't think of a single fight where she got "better" as the fight went on, unless you count turning into a lay n' pray grappler against Zhang in the rematch (which I thought she still lost). Maybe when she destroyed Paige Van Zant way back in the day (who was so over-matched in every aspect of fighting it was comical).

Basically no matter how good she is at fighting in some regards she always sucked mentally, it's just really bad nowadays....the "Pat Barry" effect perhaps.

My point was if we agree that 48-47 either way is a legit score we can't make a statement that someone got robbed.

The version I read, and it seems quite realistic, he scored 4th round for Shev cause he initially thought that Grasso's knees were illegal. After he realized his mistake, he tried to compensate by giving her 10-8 in round 5. If that was the case than it was actually Grasso, who got robbed of victory by him, although unintentionally.
 
Problem is she left Whitmann and is now coached solely by Barry. That's why she's regressing at 31-32 years old.

That’s not how you judge bro - you don’t fix a mistake by making an even bigger one.

It’s corruption or incompetence. If he scored it 10-8 it’s a robbery because he cheated the judging guidelines.
 
She needs to get back with Whitman. She can keep Barry around but if she allocates all coaching to him it will sabotage her future career

So if she were an entirely different person with various body parts from more attractive fighters? Rosenstein? She still would be a head case though.

Also why Grasso legs? that's just weird. Stick with Tate for the thighs. Grasso face. Add on Gillian Robertson's personality.

she comes across as a mental-case. maybe too much into her own head and spirituality or whatever. pat berry seems like an extreme character to be around with if focus and clarity are the goals. at least when it comes to fighting.
