Media Rose’s grandfather died

Jake Shields and Khabib both fought shortly after their fathers died without hesitation, and I have more respect for them for being able to put their grief aside and carry on with their obligations.

Those instances have to be seen as being exceptional, surely? You can’t expect someone to go and cut weight after losing a family member. I mean it should be applauded of course, but if someone wants to take time out then yeah, no problem with that either.

Condolences. Damn, looked like another super tough guy back in his youth, not too dissimilar to abdulmanap. Fuck 2020. Well, on the bright side, at least he lived a long life and got to see his granddaughter become champ.

It is. Make perfect sense.

They offered her a fight on a certain day. They didn't ask for another time. Either you want to fight when they have it available or you don't. It's not rocket science. She didn't want the fight. It didn't matter if she wants it a month or two later.
No they're wrong. They're making her look like a duck. She lost her granddad. Wtf is this? Just say "she's got personal issues", leave it at that, or family tragedy or some shit. Dana has no problem covering for his bastard sons and daughters. When a champ doesn't want to defend against number contenders... "we never offered him that fight" but "he'll fight anywhere, anyone, any time"... (just not his nightmare matchup when his own belt is on the line). Just lie and say something tragic happened in her family just as we were in negotiations. Easy. Peasy.

Misogynistic and feminist. Do you have any more words to pull out of your virtue signalling dictionary? You really should stop using grown-up words that you don't understand.
If you don't know you'll never know you ignorant fuck.

The way you're white knighting is misogynistic as fuck.

You said the entire female sex is emotional and handles mental things differently than males.

You just made a wide sweeping generalization that females are weaker minded then males and need delicate treatment when dealing with strong emotions and loss. Holy fuck, no matter how you tried to pretty it up, make it sound nice and throw whip cream on you are saying women are weaker than men.

Women aren't damsels in distress. They don't need your help or you defending. They handle situations like everyone else does: individually. Rose handles this situation one way. Maybe Nunes handles it another way and Val handles it a completely different way than her.

I'm assuming you didn't mean harm but what you said was misogynistic to assume so women handle a situation the way you think they will.

I just BROKE you, LMAO!!

And it's obvious that you are using words that are beyond your comprehension, lol!

Let me preface things first. I feel bad for Rose. I've lost all my grandparents except 1. I wish her the best.

Now from what I understand they've been offering Rose this fight from March and she's had various reason to not signing and fighting including her being quoted saying "I just don't feel like it right now." To the UFC the death is just another in a long line of excuses to why she won't fight.

At the end of the day she doesn't want the fight on the UFC's timetable. She wants it on her own and to the UFC it's the same as she doesn't want the fight.

If Rose wants to take time out to grieve then fine, just don't expect Weili to wait, there are plenty of others ready to take the fight.

You can pass the fight off to someone else without burying her. How mant times did dana cover for his faves?

Khabib is a devout Muslim and truly believes his father is either in or is going to heaven. Grief about death isn't really the same for ordinary vs devoutly religious people.

edit: Just read that Rose thinks her grandpa is in heaven. So I suppose this doesn't apply in this case.

So did mine. Still have to work. Of course, she doesn't have to. It's good that she has time to mourn and organize things. As the organizing while mourning is the worst part of death.

It's not really a half truth.

UFC: here's the fight: Weili 1st Q 2021, u down?
Rose: no
UFC: OK, she doesn't want the fight. We'll give it to someone who does.

Coz literally, she doesn't. She might want it later, on her terms, but the fight is now, not later. and she doesn't want it now.

And it appears they've been trying to book this for a while: Carla said she already accepted a title shot on 3 weeks notice but it fell through. So this is just the latest 'ramping up' of negotiations with Dana going public because Rose won't say yes (which is something she's done before, repeatedly). So assuming Rose's grandfather only just passed away (and not say, 2 months ago), this isn't the reason the fight hasn't been booked yet, either.

You are correct.

Carla should get the fight.

Not sure of Weili's timetable for fights. But she's the champ and the division has gotta move along.

May he rest in peace. Whatever happens after life im sure hes at peace.

Sadly most people actually don't have a choice and do have to be at work the next day
we have paid bereavement leave of five days at my work. That gives you a week off and hopefully you dont lose anyome else the same year.As we know this jist the latest loss of family for Rose.

Carla's just gonna get killed.

She can handle herself quite well. I think she's improved a lot in all areas the past few years. Weili will be the rightful favorite. Carla has a lot of experience against top level fighters.

I have almost forgotten what a sweetie is Rose with that hair.
