Media Rose’s grandfather died

Jake Shields and Khabib both fought shortly after their fathers died without hesitation, and I have more respect for them for being able to put their grief aside and carry on with their obligations.

Did she actually pull out of the fight? Was there ever an obligation? I'm serious btw iv been out of the loop.

Also, Rose seems to have some mental health issues and seems to be very sensitive so it doesn't surprise me. Not that there is anything wrong with it.

Obligations? Why would you judge how someone personally deals with grief, and determine what level of respect you have for them based on that? What a completely idiotic thing to say.

That is a pretty sad view. You should not respect a person more or less for how they deal with grief. Also, Khabib took a decent time off, so I bet you respect Cody Stamann even more for fighting a week after his 18 yo brother dies unexpectedly.

You guys are making an assumption that Dana knew that was the reason. People are making assumptions on all sides. If she doesn't want the title fight right now for personal reasons then she'll most likely be next in line when she's ready for it. That's why sometimes public statements are necessary so it isn't filled with assumptions across the board. Especially with both sides saying 2 different things about the fight. They could've easily said they aren't taking the fight for personal reasons like other fighters do.

She's not obliged to do anything.. she never signed a contract, nor ever announced anything. Khabib and SHields did before the deaths.

Regardless, you sound like someone nobody would shed a tear for if you died... sorry to say..

Shields was already slated to fight Ellenberger but he went through with the fight as planned. He didn't really mention it at all leading up to the fight, didn't use it as an excuse either even though he ended up losing. All I meant was that he showed great fortitude in those difficult circumstances and admirably well in spite of it.

Condolences to her and her family. Same situation as earlier this year when people jumped on some random PTSD- nonsense about her being traumatized and ducking Andrade, who she then fought and beat. Shertards just love jumping to conclusions immediately, as if Dana isn't known to be a lier.

He also got KOed quickly so maybe it wasn't the best decision.
