What movies was she in again besides the Despicables or whatever it was called with Stallone
Why she alway lay her head on her left shoulder lol... she was dropping world boxing champions with BODY shots yo!
What movie career? She had 2 cameos. Its ok to admit she got beat by better fighters.. she could fight nunes for instance 10 times do you honestly think she is coming out on the high side of that 10 fights? You underestimate the level of pressure someone with that level of stardom deals with and how much it can effect their career
comparing elite male MMA with amateur female MMA ?You could argue that UFC Cro Cop was hype. He rode in on great expectations, to put it mildly. He was generally expected to be a champ.
*fizzle*
It was more than that. Way more. They said with ascending incredulity:She was undefeated champion for how long? Definitely doesn't classify as hype no matter how unlikable she was.
But its not her fault she was so much better then her opponents. If anything it speaks to her greatness. Rhonda was a beast and is probably still the 2nd greatest wmma fighter behind NunesLike 2 1/2 years or 3 1/2 if you include her Strikeforce fights? But this is a bad example my friend. The quality of each opponent matters. The reality is that she fought in a newly created female division which lacked depth. Hell even to this day WMMA is still shallow.
So you think 2014 ronda would do any better in the stand up against holly or nunes lol ok budProblem is she had one foot out the door long before. Even her first loss.
You gotta be 100% all in mma or nothing at all.
Same thing we've seen in many athletes throughout the years
You'd be a fool to think being influenced and pressured in so many arenas didn't effect her training and fighting potential
One could argue something similar for Conor.
Distractions steal your fire and potential. Plain and simple and someone truly at the top of the foodchain when it comes to stardom has way more to deal with than anyone could possibly realize
At the time she was indisputably the greatest women fighter in the world, like not even a remotely close 2nd. To say she is all hype doesnt do her career justice. She singlehandedly brought wmma to the UFC no matter your feelings about her. What's the thing people say once a hype train is derailed? "He was never that good." "He was beating up nobodies." "Once he faced actual competition, he was exposed." People normally don't say that about champions, and certainly not about champions with long winning streaks. But they did (rightly) with Ronda. In her case, despite being the champion, her popularity was absolutely hype, and that hype came from her streak, not her skills.
My point was that being undefeated is EXACTLY what prompts a hype train. And given that, it seems a strange conclusion to say it's not hype just because the person has a lot of wins.
Good to see the og's of this site see through the non sensefake hype did her in.
She very well could have lost to liz in her first fight. If that choke was any tighter we wouldnt be having this conversationAt the time she was indisputably the greatest women fighter in the world, like not even a remotely close 2nd. She loses 2 fights to very good fighters and now people act like she always sucked which isnt the case..... Just like with all great fighters if you keep taking fights you're gonna lose at some point.
She dominated Liz lolShe very well could have lost to liz in her first fight. If that choke was any tighter we wouldnt be having this conversation
She got caught in a choke and could have been tapped if it was a bit more under the chin, things worked on her side that day.She dominated Liz lol
I assume you think Vitor beat Jones too.
Nunes did Holly like Holly did Ronda.Look how well Holly did.
