How is he exaggerating his fighting career? This has nothing to do with his career in TKD. He is talking about when he taught TKD lessons and additionally it has nothing to do with fighting.

Back then there wasn't much opportunity to fight, especially as a smaller guy. Only weight class was 170lbs which he'd be like 6" shorter than.

He did some TKD and a few American rukes kickboxing fights.

Aside from being a Don Frye he was as badass as an actor/ comedian could have been during the 90s to early 2000s.

Besides, he was able to do more good for the sport as a celebrity, announcer and fan then as a fighter.

He and Dana white did more for bringijg mma into the main stream than every other person combined.

Ive watched enough rogan podcasts to know his tendencies and he def knows what hes doing when he flip flops depending on who hes talking to about competing vs fighting, Thats cool if you want to call to call a bjj match a fight, but realize and dont play dumb, that you are in the minority. Yes i would shit on a bjj purple belt saying he had a fight coming up it it was a bjj comp. Im a black belt in bjj and would never say i have a fight coming up if its bjj match. Im not shitting on him by the way. I listen to most of his podcasts and respect him but realize he is not a perfect human. And yeah i remember his saying that TKD wasnt an efficient fighting art, yet funny thing is when Machida and Wonderboy started winning, rogan says "i always thought somebody with that point fighting type style could do well in mma if they knew takedown defense."

What you call flip flopping, I view as someone who's able to recognize the nuance of a discussion, how the truth fluctuates and makes adjustments accordingly.

Although I understand how it could be viewed in such a way.

I think there's a much bigger problem when someone picks a side and sticks to it because it highlights a lack of adaptability in thinking.


Also, I'm not sure I've ever heard him talk about a jiu jitsu match being a fight. It's definitely a simulated fight to the death in several ways, which Is more in line with what I'd expect him to say.

Ever notice how 9 out of 10 guys didn't continue with a fighting career because they didn't want to continue, like they probably could have become a success but faith had other plans, they could have would have should have etc.
