Even a better case for Rockhold since he actually made championship weight. Dont get me wrong Im rooting for Yoel in this fight but like I said, he has absolutely every right to decline this fight. I of course hope it goes on but it is what it is.

Luke is likely finding out right now that this fight is no longer for the interim title.....

On top of that, he is likely asking for a weight restriction against Romero for not finishing his cut. I bet its not extreme either....

He is probably just demanding that Romero cant walk into the cage over 200lbs because he didn't finish the cut.....

Romero and his management will deny the request, the fight will get cancelled and everyone will blame Rockhold.....the guy who actually showed up and killed himself to make weight....

If 6'3, 200+ lbs, damn near Light Heavyweight Luke Rockhold declines this fight because of 3 fucking pounds, I'm no longer a fan. Even Bones wouldn't do this shit.

I say he's fine to turn it down. That's a 1.5% advantage. At the highest level that's huge That's probably the margin Usain bolt wins races by.

And no, he shouldn't take Yoel's purse money. That 3 pounds if gonna cost him the fight.

None of that matters though, he signed a contract to fight another man who would weigh 185 tonight. That didn't happen thus there is a breach of contract, so they have to renegotiate it and of course he's going to ask for more money, thus its UFC's fault if they don't value this card enough to pay him.
