No they are only suppose to stand up for them when a cop or someone white may be abusing their rights, but when other blacks are talking away peoples right to live, they just say ohh well it is gonna happen.

So you're going to ignore the variety of links that demonstrate that the black community takes combating violence in their communities very seriously?

They weren't all clergy based. But even then since the black community is a religious community it makes sense that many acts of social activism would start in the church and that black clergy would be the visible leaders of such movements.

I have no opinion about the quality of food that other people should eat, except that I support everyone being able to eat edible stuff. I'm not on assistance, but I eat Spam occasionally (I grew up with it, and I like it). I wouldn't say that that then means that people with EBT cards should have additional limits on what they can use their cards for.

Anyway, the point is that people who complain about "big gov't" or call every tax or means-tested benefit a form of tyranny have been awfully quiet when they have a very clear example of tyranny in front of them. It's very telling.

Come on pan, I never said that people never do ANYTHING, I said they need to do more and posting a couple articles is not going to change that.

Yes pan, I am going to ignore some links that you dug up that show either politicians talking a good game or clergy asking the police for more help.

Where are the national rallies at? Where is the big time stuff at? How many people from the community are actually involved in the "programs" that you posted?

I also haven't seen you condemn the people in here that are saying ohh well when black kids die by other black kids it is expected because most crime is basically committed by the same race as you (black on black or white on white).

Posting a couple articles about some people trying to help out does not equal blacks needing to get together more neighborhood watch groups, or starting to try and change the stop snitching culture or the not cooperating with police.

Yes I know the media distorts a lot of situations. But why have we not seen a million man march to help stop the violence in our community? Why can we have a million man march to solve government issues, and bus people in from all over the country, but we have never had a million man march to help stop the violence?

Not only would that go a long way in helping the black community itself, it might also help gain further white help or sentiment if they can show that they are trying to take things serious. It only seems like SOME blacks take things serious if it involves whites or latinos.

I'm asking a question, though. I'm mostly the guy clearing up really bad arguments or factually incorrect statements. My biggest complaints are generally those two things--people aren't thinking enough or they're pushing false claims.
