i think he’s too big a Crawford fan to take a balanced view. I agree that bud should be a little higher but spence absolutely deserves his place. Me personally, I’d have him 6th or 7th but he’ should definitely be 4-10 on any sensible list. He’s been the no1 WW for years, & it’s always one of the most stacked divisions in boxing.

He is an A level fighter. AJ was the second best heavyweight in the world when Usyk beat him and previously was rated #1. His resume at heavyweight is deeper than the rest. The Ruiz loss was embarrassing but this is heavyweight and it was immediately avenged. The two previous heavyweight kings, Wlad and Lewis, also got stopped/KO'd by fighters that had absolutely no business doing that to them. Didn't they? And guess what? Lewis is still the best heavyweight of the last 30 years and Wlad was just inducted as a first ballot hall of famer. As for Crawford's domination it's a lot easier to dominate lesser opposition. I like his wins over Porter and Postol, the latter of which was recorded forever ago, but let's not get carried away. Neither is a signature win.

No. That's not accurate. All you have to do is check the ratings at that time if you're really this clueless. Fury was the #1 rated heavyweight across the board and AJ was the clear #2 heavyweight going into his fight with Usyk. AJ was then a three-belt unified champ who had immediately avenged his loss to Ruiz and then knocked out a contender in Pulev while Wilder and Ruiz had both recently lost. Wilder was stopped by Fury and Ruiz got badly outboxed by AJ in their rematch.

Just in case you prefer a particular source we'll check them all to see what AJ was rated heading into his fight with Usyk. Clearly you don't follow the sport very closely (or you have something against Usyk?).

Except Fury retired. He made the announcement himself and then reiterated it multiple times (even if many of us don't actually believe it). If he's just bluffing then that's on him. He hasn't vacated his title yet but when a fighter "retires" they should be removed from the rankings altogether. Not that it matters much considering he wouldn't have been rated P4P #1 anyway. Not by any credible source. His resume is too thin and he's a career heavyweight. The last career heavyweight that was rated P4P king (by Ring Magazine) was Mike Tyson back in 1989. That was 33 years ago. While Usyk is a heavyweight currently rated P4P king he's not a career heavyweight like Mike was.

AJ would be favored in a third fight. Ruiz had no answer for being boxed up and it was practically a shut out for AJ. Ruiz legit won 2 rounds. Logic dictates that AJ would be the favorite going into a third scrap. Especially after Ruiz looked like absolute shit in his last fight and got dropped by an old and irrelevant Nipples. At least we can agree on the current Top 3 P4P being Usyk, Inoue, and Crawford.
