Crime RFK Jr wants to send people on Anti depressants to do forced labor at Farms

Has he indicated that people should never be on SSRIs? Or that they are always ineffective? My view, and it is not outrageous, is that SSRIs are overprescribed and that diet, exercise and being outdoors can actually help a good portion of the population that is dependent on chemical interventions. Furthermore, that goes double for SSRIs in youth where a lifetime of dependence is going to happen when that prescription is made.

It’s frustrating that such a negative reaction to RFK and Trump is causing the left to be on the side of big pharma. There is a HUGE issue with over prescription across the board. Big Pharma is subject to huge litigation due to this and it’s sad that people will now turn a blind eye because the opposing team is against them.

SSRIs and opioids can be beneficial or detrimental but I will never trust the machine and will always believe when profits are at stake, they are being pushed more than they need to be.

To your second point, were they SSRIs? If not, why even bring it up? Do you deny SSRIs cause dependence? It’s very clearly laid out in the literature that they do. It’s inarguable so I don’t understand what point your making here.

Lastly, I’ve not defended or made excuses. I agreed he shouldn’t have said addictive. I’m pointing out that “are addictive” and “cause dependency” can be interchangeable to the average person.
Sigh. I was clear about my point. I'll leave it at that. Make of it what you want.

you can protest this open nazism with the plastic bad challenge. I mean, if RFK says fresh air is good……

SSRIs aren’t great, my wife was on them from 2011 to 2017, and they come with their own set of problems. However, at the end of the day they help to allow a person with depression to function. Going to a farm to farm away the depression sounds nice, but when you stop and think that in real life people have responsibilities like careers, bills and families that can’t just be put on hold for X or Y number of weeks, months or years suddenly the pills don’t sound so bad.

So basically a rehabilitation center that emphasizes physical activity and outdoors over a depressing clinic. Sounds good to me.

Especially for depressed people who feel hopeless. Working with your hands, growing stuff makes people feel fulfilled.

Mother Jones makes it sound like they’ll be digging moats at the border lol

Not all camps are bad, lefties

There's a definite need for pro-active rehab for people hooked on anti-depressants and the lack of life that comes with it. Take it from someone who's seen a former top mate turn into a 25-stone tub of lard who hasn't worked or left his house in over 2 years. And spends all day every day talking about his mental health issues on X like it's a badge of honour.

OK? Why do you think it's ok to cut funds allocated by Congress?
Funds for what? You’re not being specific at all. You want my position on something but you haven’t given me anything to work with. You think giving more money to Congress, the same people being bribed by these companies, is going to lower drug prices? Am I understanding you correctly? The president doesn’t even have the power to do that, so forgive me for not knowing wtf you’re babbling about.

Was mine not? I mean, wtf dude you said he should be punched in the face. Was that your point? You made an irrelevant point about not experiencing withdrawal on prescription medication.

You made three comments, I responded to each respectively. You’re just being lazy, which is fine.

SSRIs are becoming more controversial. Using it for general anxiety/stress is putting a lot of people into a semi vegetable state and for actual serious mental issues (like bipolar, depression, or any other chemical imbalance) it actually makes those issues worst because it's now putting your brain on 2 different wavelengths.

Most doctors now a days are scared of being sued so if someone comes in saying they have anxiety or are stressed they just write up a prescription for some low dose SSRI

My last job involved clients doing a small health intake sheet and I swear close to half the women ages 20-45 listed that they were on some sort of anti-anxiety drug (prozac, lexapro, celexa, luvox). Almost half, that's pathetic !
I think the bigger problem that gets overlooked is people think they need to treat normal human conditions with medicine. Nobody is ever going to not be anxious or depressed from time to time. When it’s pathological and persistent, then medication may be indicated. Also doesn’t help that a lot of people seeking treatment for anxiety and depression are smoking weed almost every day and/or binge drinking on weekends.

I don't know enough about psychedelics, apart from what these delta9 and hhc gummies do when I eat them, but there is no feeling in the world that compares to accomplishing something with your bare hands and feeling exhausted from it. imo
A burning in your legs and an ache in your back after a hard days work. Nothing beats it.

I gave a friend an Adderall and that is what he did, and I called him a junkie 😂
They gave me empracet (an opioid) after I had a surgery. I decided to crush one pill and snort it on a day I was bored. I met my friends at college and they sent me back home because I was purple and my temples were veiny.

People continue to self-medicate despite being on anti-depressants because, as a society, we dont get to the underlying issues that are causing the reason people feel the need to anesthetize themselves.

RFK isnt going to do this either. He is just going to hock nonsense supplements to poor people, allow pharmaceutical companies to have "designer" drugs he approves of (meaning: gets bonuses for), and suggest people do more push-ups or report to labor camps. None of that sh*t is going to make anyone's life better or more purposeful.
