He said "These drugs" (referring to anti-depressents), in which case, I don't think you establish a causality that anti-depressants are addictive (in the clinical sense) and *promote* violent behavior.
There is a physiological dependency that occurs with prolonged use, but the same can be said for everything from blood pressure medication to antacids.
Establishing causality with respect to increases in violent behavior is also a strawman argument. While anti-depressant use has been linked to increased suicidal ideation and aggression in a relatively small number of cases, there is overwhelming evidence to suggest that anti-depressants radically reduces anti-social behaviors, compulsions etc. (which are linked to acts of violence).
