Of course they have changed, because of technology, because of the economy, because of a hundred causes but they are still the same race and culture. Cultures change, they evolve but most are not forced to merge with foreign cultures. Korea and Japan are two of the most culturally homogeneous places on earth. Your just conflating these changes in order to obfuscate the the reality that most non-western countries are rarely if ever called out for their xenophobia. Which was my point, that there is a big difference between having your community changed in order to accommodate outsiders and having it change because as a community you chose to change.

Gotta disagree. A lot of what you call European culture is just Roman culture and Rome hasn't been a cultural or racial hotbed for centuries. We've preserved large swathes of Roman (and Greek) culture without ever relying on actual Romans or Greeks.

For illustration, just look at how much of our law still has Latin roots. Or the Romance languages.

Our law is English law. Yes, culture progressed. But there are very different cultures throughout the areas that the Romans had reign over.. Based basically in the differences in the people.

Similar geography and similar genetics have produced completely different outcomes in all parts of the world, the whole "when left alone" clutch you point out also kills any debate. We would basically degenerate in an argument where white people are naturally good but X influence made them bad and black people are naturally bad but X influence made them good when pointing out different scenarios.

It's not "bad," it's "different." What it took to pass on your genes in Africa was just very different than in Europe over a couple ice-ages. The Africans were better at surviving and breeding in African conditions. No shame in it, really. I don't think that mixed individuals identifying as black is unrelated to the one drop rule that was imposed on blacks.

In Brazil the concept of mulattoes as distinct from both whites and blacks is more prevalent than it is in the US and that's because they didn't have anything like Jim Crow. In fact their racists wanted to deliberately mixed with the blacks instead of segregating them but that's besides the point. Point is the phenomena of mixed Americans identifying as blacks is the legacy of Jim Crow and not a black idea. I know people like to say that's the past but its well within living memory.
