Thats ridiculously untrue. In Europe alone Finland, Switzerland, much of eastern Europe, China, Korea...I could go on for some time have remained largely culturally isolated from the outside.
Bullshit, its mostly the religious leaders not the intellectual leaders that argue for resistance to cultural imperialism but there are plenty of countries that as a whole remain resistant to outside cultural influences.

You think eastern europe is the same today as it was during the peak of the cold war? You think Korea of today is the same as the Korea which was as poor as a subsaharan country?
Which countries have resisted western influence? North Koreaa? Saudi Arabia? basically extremely repressive countries.
