I think everybody is on PEDs, at least the top dudes and girls. The intense training that they all go through day after day, year after year just isn't possible without chemical help.
Its waive....
And has he officially notified the UFC and USADA in writing of his retirement? Clearly not as Dana states hes no idea if Conor has retired.
Second, its not retroactive so any samples collected prior to USADA getting his notice in writing still count
THird, the 4 month period is only waived in Exceptional circumstances.. retiring, then deciding a month later to unretire is not an exceptional circumstance.
its not a loophole, we see the same rule applied through all olympic level sport.
I agree a little, but here's my counter. If you want to go that route, GSP probably has taken something at some point, but i'd bet my house on GSP being clean vs Hendricks, and its why he didn't look as sharp. Hendricks on the other hand, has looked worse after that fight once testing went into effect.
The point is that his people informed him that his current sample is dirty and he wouldn't pass USADA, so he retires to avoid being tested and pissing dirty. He can then come back in 6 months to a year, clean. Instead of a 2 year suspension, a giant fine, and a ruined reputation.
But no, keep believing the UFC cancelled their biggest money making fight ever because Conor wouldn't attend a press conference... lmao.
I think the idea that Johny takes PEDs and Georges doesn't is hilarious.
There is nothing like acting like you're innocent by blaming others.
Purely eye-test, but Hendricks sure doesn't look like Georges.
If I was taking PEDs, and I looked like Johny - I'd want whatever Georges is on.
Of course some are tough to spot, that's why they are PEDs and not just anabolic steroids. They do different things, they are not all just muscle building juices. But it didn't work for Royce Gracie, Tim Sylvia, Josh Barnett, Chris Leben etc. In most cases the "eye-test" is no more accurate than just straight up guessing.
So are you indirectly saying he's been tested randomly for the last 2 years?GSP never retired.
i wish we could discuss
Sorry but no. George Has been on record to retire because there was no USDA testing he wanted usda testing, and advocated for it. the fact that he may return speaks volumes on the situation.
Maybe he has used in the past? who knows.
Lmao, Okay.No he's on record avoiding USADA testing.
That's a fact.
But it was in place when he retired...i wish we could discuss

Absolutely. There is at least one study I know of that shows that long term exogenous testosterone use changes your muscle cells so they are much more prone to hypertrophy YEARS after use. Something about the nucleus of the cell being more centered in the cell or something like that. I'll have to find it and edit.Question for you sir.
Are any PEDs beneficial in the long-term for performance without constant use?
Example:
Let's say fighter fights in the UFC from 2005 to 2012 and doesn't get any random testing, so is able to cycle off and on easily. If he then is forced to play by USADA rules, and has to stop the cycling, surely the affects and performance of that substance in his body will be somewhat long-standing or even permanent?
4 months of clean, really mean you're clean? You wouldn't have any advantages?
I don't know if he has been, but I do know that he never officially or even unofficially retired. And tbh, I think I actually recall seeing that he was. Will have to look around. So are you indirectly saying he's been tested randomly for the last 2 years?
what sample? a sample he provided before "retiring" in which case he can still be banned by usada
a sample he provided after "retiring".. a retirement that hasnt officially happened yet
or a sample he hasnt provided yet? In which case drink lots of water and dont answer the door
what sample are you talking about....?
As of right now, this minute, unless Conor has informed the UFC and USADA in writing that he is retiring, he is still in the testing pool
and as long as hes still in the testing pool he can still be banned for whatever reason
his current sample is dirty? what sample? what are you even talking about? do you know what you are talking abut?
But it was in place when he retired...
Great to know, thank you very much.Absolutely. I also know this from personal experience but I know that's subjective and anecdotal.
I may get banned one day for "fighter bashing" but I refuse to ignore obvious stuff.
Georges has taken something. Sometime in his career, he has been on something which is classified as a PED. If I could somehow guarantee that I'd get the truth out of him, I would bet the house on it.
You do not look like he does without something being put into you. Definitely doesn't help looking like that and having so many wins that you are a perennial "greatest of all time" candidate.
"Retires" the minute USADA comes into play. Makes a million excuses about not wanting to come back, including one of the excuses being "USADA is good, but it's still not good enough".
Now he's magically returning, and nobody is suspecting that he's essentially had 2 free years to dope the fuck out of himself.
None of this is proven fact, but it's my opinion.
Georges is suspect as fuck!
Apologies I think I may be wrong on that. I don't think USADA was in place as far back at 2013.That's a crock of shit and you know it. Everyone knew that GSP was going to retire after that fight he had a "special announcement to make", he basically did it in the octagon after he won. Unless you're saying he knew USDA was coming after that fight so he relinquished his title. that's purely speculative, and i cannot comment on that.
@ flyingK, i like your thinking!!! i know dimspace knows his stuff, but yeah vegas/nevada has bad luck written all over it. peeps that visit Nevada usually get tested. wasnt sonnen tested in nevada when he was there visiting with helwani???The sample he got back from his team which tests him to make sure he's clean. Basically every top pro who juices does this and it's been confirmed by all the top steroid runners from the olympics to MLB.
His team tells him he's going to test dirty in his next USADA test, so he retires to avoid it.
Give me one other good reason why he would retire instead of fighting on the biggest selling PPV in UFC history and by far the biggest payday of his career. Because he didn't want to go to a press conference?
