I use kodi on a bunch of different devices and don't have any problems. I use a flirc and logitech 650 for the remote on windows, I even have a button set up on my remote to start the kodi program. The Rasberry Pi has CEC so I just use the remote from the tv.
I have mine set up to automatically stream sources so if I wanted to watch Fletch, I just click on Fletch and it automatically picks a stream. I rarely run into a video that stops midway through or fails to find a source. Remember, this is free, you're going to have to put up with a few hiccups.
I have it on a Fire Stick but haven't really used it. It works ok on that $50 Amazon tablet, I haven't had any issues there either.
I bought a Raspberry Pi 2 a few a months ago and have used it for Kodi ever since. I also cut cable since then. I am just wondering how did you go about setting yours up to automatically pick a stream? Sometimes that gets to me if multiple streams don't work.
Also I noticed that you installed Sportsdevil. For some reason it will not allow me to do that. Did you have any trouble when you got it?
