probably Grigorian would have won the same way, but the referee made Zahidi lost his confidence. The guy was doing great hitting Marat going backward(he landed 3 or 4 high kicks in Marat’s face) till the referee started to be a protagonist(we have seen way worse things during One kickboxing fights).

That was really the most disgusting thing I have have ever seen during a fight to see a referee that in the second round was yelling to a fighter “that’s a ok shot” threatening him of a possible DQ.
I have a feeling Marat's team complained before the fight that they wanted a proper kickboxing fight. I have a feelin the ref would of spoke to zahidi before the fight.
I think this because even in the promo. Marat was saying he thought he beat Superbon under kickboxing rules.
All that said I knew Zahidi would lose that fight from a minute or two in. Although he was landing he was fighting at Marats pace and wasn't hurting him.
I think all the warnings only prolonged the fight because it was giving Zahidi breathers. He was blowing by the end of the first.

It may be a possibility but would be funny because Marat with a rigid application of the rules should have been disqualified against Sittichai, that’s no way that you get an illegal knockdown and restart the fight like nothing happened

Funny how Chatri didn’t gave the bonus to Marat, probably he didn’t like what happened

As for Shadow to me is bizarre how is still with no contract after beating the 3rd ranked fighter in a division where most in the top 5 have more loses than wins

Great card slightly ruined by anti-clinch autism.

Igor looked great. I'd love to see a rematch between Osmanov and Bendon.

Yeah even the way it just abruptly ended after he beat Sittichai. Like they don't wanna give him publicity.
Also as a said before he can make 145. Haggerty or Nico might not look so "unstopable" or a young "prodigy" against him. He would batter haggerty.

I feel about the Gregorian fight the same way I felt about the ending to Froch _ Groves 1, the ref made a fuck-up that didn't affect the end result but cosmetically looked fucken terrible.

yeah Igor looked very good for his experience level. He looked difficult to get a read on/ get his timing, throwing punches off kicks mid-exchange, throwing like mid-beat rather than on-the-beat (if you know what I mean) he seems to have very different timing to someone like say Khomutov or Balyko, but what impressed me most was how he found that tiny gap with his left hook against near-perfect defence from Panpayak, from a very momentary opportunity. bloody Russians

yeah thats how it looked to me, Zahidi just had no idea how to defend himself against the punching combinations, whatever he threw he couldn't push Marat back even when he landed. I hate Marat's style to watch and I'd hate it even more to fight against

there have been a couple of interesting MT matchups announced for the OFN27 card:

Lineker vs Kulabdam! ok so we will see if Lineker's run in MT is legit or not, someone definitely getting sparked out here and we will see if KOing Ten Pow and Balyko really means anything at the top level. WAR KULABDAM

also, undeserved contract-holder Parham Gheirati faces Rambolek, having been given a major shortcut to the contract I hope reality bites on Gheirati there and think Rambolek should be too good for him

also Lessei vs a random Canadian

and suablack gets Kovtun

full card for OFF 93 announced:

  • Kongchai Chanaidonmueang vs. Ramadan Ondash (Muay Thai – strawweight)
  • Worapon Sor Dechapan vs. Soner Sen (Muay Thai – 142-pound catchweight)
  • Maemmot Sor Salacheep vs. Satangthong Chor Hapayak (Muay Thai – 130-pound catchweight)
  • Yodkitti FiatPathum vs. Thway Lin Htet (Muay Thai – strawweight)
  • Chalie Singha Mawynn vs. Rocky Wor Wantawee (Muay Thai – 127-pound catchweight)
  • Petninmungkorn DrRatNamkangIceland vs. Rifdean Masdor (Muay Thai – atomweight)
  • Petlampun Muadablampang vs. Abdallah Ondash (Muay Thai – 126-pound catchweight)
  • Tahaneak Nayokatasala vs. Andrii Mezentsev (Muay Thai – 118-pound catchweight)
  • Islay Erika Bomogao vs. Ran Longshu (Muay Thai – 101-pound catchweight)
  • Antonio Piana vs. Haruyuki Tanitsu (Muay Thai – 116-pound catchweight)
  • Dzhabir Dzhabrailov vs. Khusan Urakov (MMA – 176-pound catchweight)
  • Oh Su Hwan vs. Nachyn Sat (MMA – featherweight)

its seems to be a very slim card beneath them, but Kongchai - younger Ondash, Worapon - Sen (especially) and Petlampun - older Ondash all are really nice matchups

younger Ondash is an arrogant child like Johan Ghazali who likes showboating and would doubtlesss be insufferable if he won so on that level alone i have to hope Kongchai dominates him- not just KOs but dominates, 3 round beatdown, slicing him up with elbows would be the icing on the cake. from what i have seen against his pretty average competition Ondash is in love with his own left hook and seems to think it is the hammer for which every job is a nail.

the other 2 both pit very solid Thai southpaws against Farang punchers, Sen especially is very heavyhanded and also decent with the Russian style in-out feet, thai fighters have had plenty of success kicking his ribs in from the outside but he has caught up with 4 of them in the end, albeit only one (Kongklai) of real quality, to add to Petgarfield and Nonthakit (who really did a number on his ribs with the kicks) and Otop (and Yodphupa and Rambolek that he lost to)

Kulabdam vs Lineker is probably the most interesting or intriguing MT fight of the week, with MT fans the world over likely praying that it isn't just as easy as deciding you're not quite good enough in MMA and going into MT fights, bum-swinging at your opponent with hooks. I pray and offer sacrifices to the gods of MT that Kulabdam sparks him out violently, but actually i have a funny feeling Lineker may be competitive at least.

It would be atrocious if Kulabdam lose

for maybe the 8th time i gotta say, if it wasn't for OFF, One as a brand would be a joke to me.

Prajanchai Vs. Ellis Badr Barboza Muay Thai World Title Bout To Headline ONE Fight Night 28

Barboza has two fights, one great win against bum-swinger Thongpoon subsequently downgraded to N/C (I think because he pissed hot), and a good win in an absolutely excellent fight against the decent Aliff.

for all that I enjoyed him beating Thongpoon's head like a pinata and caving his ribs in and carving him apart with elbows- does all of that really a challenger to Prajanchai make? albeit, I have some sympathy as I can't think immediately of *many* fighters around 126lbs that could be thrown in with Prajanchai (Ortikov is the first that comes to mind) but still? headline fight?

Barboza pissed hot in One. He must of been walking around with a syringe hanging out of his arm. 🤣🤣
Prajanchai defo the favourite. But anything can happen with the small gloves.

Would rather see kickboxing Koki Osaki vs Prajanchai
All the good flyweight thais are in RWS

hahahaha very good, he must have been pissing rainbows that melted steel beams

its a shame for Barboza, IMO his performances so far suggest he can be a contender and he looked fantastic against *spits* Thongpoon, and his fight against Aliff was one of my highlights of 2024 for the technical/action combination, it was superb stuff, but i don't get throwing him in against Prajanchai at this stage, and I certainly don't get him as part of the headline attraction.

I actually think Ortikov - Prajanchai may be a really interesting match at some point hopefully down the line and before too long passes.
