Half of fighters in the tourney are Japanese again, but oh well K-1 Japan gonna be Japan-centric.

I have a dream that one day a good Thai fighter other than Kaew will join K-1.

he isnt fighting on kunlun fight 47 anymore so would be a good move for them,would be cool to see him fighting in japan again


pentachong and naruto banchamek are also in this card,they really could add buakaw too

why? the tournament and division championship are separate titles. Also without the clear no1 who is usually the division champion the tournament loses the prestige

He is expensive, doubt they'll have him fight anywhere outside of China except in Thailand maybe. Petchtanong and Naruto being on the card also pretty much says Buakaw won't be Can rub some Buakaw fame onto it without actually having to have him on the card.

yeah bro,but he could be a factor to fill an bigger attendance on japan,IMO is a good move placing him on this card because he would sell good or even better than he is selling in china since 2013(when he started to got a hype being promoted and fight against chinese guys on china),because a lot of people already know him from the old k-1 max times.

i bet that majority part of kickboxing-muay thai fanbase in japan would want to see him,his last fight in japan was october 2013 at max muay thai,when he fought with Sato for the 4th time but this one in FTR(okay,guys already have a amazing storyline to sell and bring a big attendance,but almost every local talent could had the same selling tickets effect being placed to fight against buakaw),and the attendance was easily sold out(they were pretty dumb placing this event on a small arena,they could fill 2,5x times more attendance i guess if they placed this fight on a bigger place)

the numbers on chinese tv would be the same,considering they streamed it live to chinese tv

except for his fight against yi long,who were like 10k people on the stadium to watch that fairground attraction,i think the numbers could be even bigger than most of the other fights he had in china against chinese guys

yeah,maybe is too early,but i hope to see him one day in japan again,Buakaw made a 6 fight deal with kunlun,he already fought 5 times for the organization(4 in kunlun normal events and one in cooperation with top king),lets see if he is going to recharge this contract

that is why non title fights for your champion are stupid. The tournament is a once a year event with special circumstances that are completely different than the single fights the division champion defends his title in

Winning the tournament secures a title shot for the divisional title.

Presumably Hirotaka will make a spirited run up to the Final of the tournament where he will be defeated by his brother. That earns Koya a titleshot and sets up Urabe bros IV, and so the cycle will continue until their mother has a heart attack (or at least until Maeda gets tired and forces one of them to move up to 62.5kg).

I sorta feel bad from him at this point. Consecutive losses plus getting his jaw broken in training. Everyone's taking potshots at him from Taiga ("I guess he's not that strong"), to the reserver Koji ("I'll crush his fragile jaw"), to even his own brother ("You're disgracing the belt").

Its really on Koya for not finishing Hiro off in either of their fights though.

Japan is infamous. Thais don't want to see him fight in Japan.

Needs another champion level superfight to fill this out, but I think Grigorian is busy outside the promotion and Takeru is probably getting ready for the 57.5kg tournament in Nov.
