MT/KB Japan Recent fights/results/news from Japan II

Post event presser on now.

Kaew was just asked if he had any interest in participating in the new weight classes (57.5kg, 62.5kg, 67.5kg) and he said that he was interested in becoming champion over all of them. The Japanese reporters applauded him with a round of golf claps.

considering that he already defeated most of the p4p fighters of the organization i just can agree with it

Lol, jk. If K-1 can't grab Yamato Tetsuya, would like to see him fight Urabe Koya at 62.5kg.

Also Takeru says that he's not yet done with Ozawa and goaded him to keep winning and earn a rematch. Oh, and apparently he's happy since he earned 3K followers in the hour or so after his fight. He was trying to reply to people until he realized the sun was rising.

i hope they bring more guys to 55kg division, with Taiga moved up to 60kg where he founded a lot of success,Takeru is without challenges now,i dont know too much about lower weight classes japanese kickboxing competitors but i think there is not too much left to face him now,he could moved up to 57,5 kg if he could do it(i think he can) and face some guys who they could bring from Krush

He's prob entering the 57.5kg world tournament in November.

There's a few guys still at 55kg I would love for Takeru to fight. Blade Champion Nasukawa Tenshin has been chasing that fight for a while and a lot of hardcores think that he'd KO Takeru.

Also, Kusakabe Ryuya is taking a hiatus from kickboxing since 55kg wasn't a big moneymaker when he was the inaugural Krush champ at that weight. Takeru's such a big start his mind might change.

Of course, politics make both those fights difficult

never knew about Nasukawa Tenshi,he looked to have monstruous skills on this highlights so im going to watch his fights to know more about him

i takeru face one of the guys that you listed,is kind of frustrating see a division where you have a guy just a lot of far from the others in terms of overall quality as a fighter

Tenshin is hype embodied. Half the fans believe he is the single greatest fighting talent to come out of Japan. The other half believe he's an inflated hypejob.

He's 17 years old and made his pro debut 2 years ago. Since then, he's racked up a record of 14-0 (11KO). As an amateur, he was the most decorated fighter in Japan history with a record of 99-5-1.

In his first pro fight, he KO'd a RISE ranker in the 1st round. In his 6th pro fight, he snapped the 9 fight winning streak of the then RISE champion to win his first belt. In his next three fights, he KO'd the Shootboxing, Deep Kick and REBELS champion in the one night BLADE tournament.

That was just months after Takeru won the K-1 championship and people have been clamouring for a showdown ever since. In fact, Nasukawa actually showed up at K-1 events, screaming at Takeru from the ringside seat to fight him at RIZIN.

Politics prevent the thing from happening, but would be great as both Takeru and Nasukawa are on a roll. Here's Nasukawa's latest fight where he fought former Koshien graduate Miyamoto Keisuke

I'd like to see Kaew vs a fresh Yamazaki.

me too, could be his next title defense,Yamazaki already proved twice in tournaments that he have what is need to challenge Kaew,he won the stacked japan tournament in a cool way and should be the finalist instead Bulaid(considering we think that he should had won the fight in normal time, without that extra round)

wow!,so the guy is much more monstruous than i had think!!

i hope some day he could get the fight against Takeru,i hope k-1 cant protect Takeru forever, some day this fight have to happen

K-1's gonna have a hard time coming up with a challenger for Kaew. Heck the winner of this tournament was supposed to be the next title contender haha.

They've been fairly reserved about letting Japanese fighters take a swing at Kaew, so maybe rematch between Yamazaki and Noiri as a title eliminator?

yeah, you got a good point mate,a rematch between both is legit for a title eliminator, considering Noiri gave Kaew a good challenge on their fight and they are 1-1 against each other,i really approve any of these two getting Kaew

Honestly, they should just do without clinching entirely if they want to separate themselves from full MT rules.
Point deduction as soon as they clinch is about the only way they could complete the purge. I think it would make more sense if they just uniformly broke the clinch based on an arbitrary time, like 3 or 5 seconds, and only deducted a point if the fighter fails to break the clinch.

Just don't call Thai fighters.

Today , Thai people order all Thai fighters to bye bye K-1.

I want Kaew in Glory. There is nothing for him in K1 at the moment. At 65kg in Glory he will have opponents like Adamchuk, Vargas, Amrani, Saenchai (if he stays) and hopefully Robin Van Roosmalen if he goes down to 65kg. Much better then his opponents in K1.
