Man, I really, really, really enjoyed this film.

It has a ton of flaws to be sure but it felt like my wheelhouse. Some of the scenes were spectacularly epic. I wish I had seen it on the big screen.

Going to give it a solid 8, and tempted to give it a 9 because I enjoyed it so much, but I know it really isn't a 9.
IT'SSS SOOO GOOOODDDD.

I was hi-fiving strangers I loved it so much. This was classic kid filmmaking to me, in the vein of GOONIES and EXPLORERS, where anything can happen and you went with it -- but with the added strength of being okay to my grown-ass man sensibilities. The only knock against it, in my book, is that it's a movie whose references don't exactly gel with the target age audience. It works for me but I can see how for others it might be two tastes that don't go great together.

The references were great for me. I was curious however about who else immediately recognized the charm of making.

Also, did I here correctly? "It's FUCKING CHUCKIE!" Didn't expect that.

Aside... How do you have both King Kong and Mechagodzilla in the same film and not have them fight?

Both their scenes were absolutely fantastic though. Cinema gold.

So good.

I loved that Toshiro Mifune is an avatar. I've watched EXCALIBUR so often as a kid; I just wasn't sure whose pronunciation he used Merlin's or Morgana's.

I was actually convinced that Excalibur was a seventies film, had to check. It's probably the only decent film based on Arthur, just as Robin and Marian is the only Robin Hood film I like.

Literally came. Yes, I'm fucking biased for Toshiro Mifune.

Well, if you HAD to pick ONE Fox film .... it certainly wouldn't be X-MEN 3.

Wait a fucking second....i gave this a 10 and Mariah loved it too?

I was laughing and talking shit when I saw the trailer in theaters. I thought it looked like an absolute embarrassment.

But my brother got it and I got bored so I watched it and was pleasantly surprised.

I’d give it a 7-7.5 range. It was a lot of fun. Not bad at all.

I went to watch it having never seen a preview cause a couple buddies liked it. I really enjoyed it.

Just started it and I'm loving it. The race scene was awesome, but TBH I'm kind of annoyed because it's such a huge change from the book.
