Phillips, Holland, Whittaker and Li aren't exactly Sakuraba, Big Nog, Rickson and Maia. He gassed when he fought guys that can actually grapple(Usman and Burns). Not even saying Khamzat isn't amazing or hes going to lose but things like "generational grappler" take it to far right now.

You said nobody can name someone who has done grappling what he has done. I guess Islam and Khabib don't count in this argument.

Whittaker himself was questioning how you stop that kind of takedown.

Then you would need to bank on Whittaker finding his first late round finish since 2013 to get the win, against a guy who has never been finished.

But yes, I agree that Dricus is more of a finishing threat and should have a better chance if he survives the first 2 rounds.

I'm a dricus fan, and I'm very worried about the first 7 minutes of this fight too. I think RDR trained with both guys a while ago, so I'm sure both fighters have improved since then. But I'm also sure RDR is still in a better place of knowledge to evaluate both guys than I am. I hope he is right, but won't be surprised at all if Khamzat gets a darce or something early.

RDR is a very good grappler. Khamzat is a generational grappler. There's a gap in ability there. Maybe some don't want to admit it, but it's there.

I'm really not that worried. Khazmat looked great against Whittaker but it's not like it's the norm for him to finish top guys that quickly. Usman made it and so did Burns. Beyond that though I don't know who wins this but I lean DDP.
