Media RDR looks back on his loss and making comeback

He should have been working on cardio ages ago. The man knew he has cardio problems but waited until he lost to get a Strength and conditioning coach?

<{ugh}>

His "cardio problem" is he's a guy who walks around in the 220s who does massive weight cuts multiple times a year in his mid 30s to fight at 185 and his body is finally saying no.

He should move up.

Not like RDR was sitting around drinking tequila in Mexico. Dude was in like a nonstop training camp for a year straight. I don't understand how you improve cardio when your schedule is like that. Only his team knows if they were missing something crucial like that, but I doubt it. Don't think he can fix the cardio in a crazy way. Should probably get better finishing so he doesn't need super cardio.

You're not wrong, that certainly plays a part too but if he moves up to 205 he won't have the size advantage in grappling that he's enjoyed so much which is probably why he doesn't wanna move up. He did not look good against Anatoly so I imagine he wouldn't look too different against big 205er's who are Anatoly's size or bigger. That's not me knocking him I like RDR I'm just being truthful.
{<shrug}

With that being said yeah, he should move up though anyway for his health.

Last time dude was so hard gasping for air that he verbally quit. Tune up that cardio, maybe some TRT?

That's all well and good but he is mid 30s and just now at a level where his major flaws are being exposed.

And his striking still sucks.
It was also his 5th fight in 11 months, basically been in non stop fight camps for a year, he must've been completely worn down.
