Notice how RDA didn't call Conor by his name in this interview at all, just called him "this guy." Zero hespect.

The part about not agreeing with Eddie Alvarez concerns me.

I think Eddie is right.

The part about disagreeing with Alvarez tells me that he may try to stand and bang, and I don't think he has near the accuracy and timing that Conor has.

FWIW, he should listen to Alvarez. You take the fight to your opponent's weakest area - take Conor down and pound on him.

Now I'm fully expecting RDA to just get clipped and we will have a 2 weight champ. Sheesh.

I think RDA is saying he will stand with him and I believe he will but his game plan will be to get the fight to the ground. I believe he will stand with him in the later rounds but he will first take him down and beat him down. It's what I'm hoping he does.

Sometimes people get fired up and hubris gets in the way, but hearing RDA claim he can beat McGregor standing makes it seem like he doesn't have the ability to critically analyze his opponents strengths and weaknesses. Obviously he is the Lightweight Champion so claiming he lacks any self awareness as a fighter doesn't make any sense, but given how McGregor likes to "get inside" his opponents head through insults and braggadocio I have to wonder if it is effecting RDA to some extent.

Well, with all due respect, Conor isn't Pettis. Conor is well conditioned as well and more importantly doesn't panic in bad spots. We'll see.
