Rashad beat hendo, so im not sure what that part was about. Davis was younger than Rashad and bigger also. Rashad also manhandled glover who was patently one of the better grapplers at lhw also Subbed Gus on the ground so i think we're down playing davis on the ground.Phil Davis was NEVER a great or even slightly well rounded MMA fighter during his UFC tenure. People touted him because of his physique and wrestling accolades. He was lost on the feet and spammed takedowns from ill advised positions.
I knew Rashad would easily dust Davis. You can't compare him to Colby at all. Chuck, Tito, and Hendo weren't exactly in their Primes against Evans. Yet he still could not defeat the MUCH older Hendo. Machida beat him in very one sided fashion. Obviously Jon did as well. The Rampage win was solid, but he could barely do damage and was afraid to throw hands despite having a speed advantage.
Rashad at his best could have been arguably the 2nd best lhw, but he never consitently put it all together.
Usman despite having repeat opponents, beat much more well rounded fighters IMO, and finished most of them while they were in their prime. Examples like Colby, Burns, Masvidal, Dos Anjos. He has a win over Edwards and was dominating him for 80% of the fight before the life altering kick.
I agree that usman fought more well rounded guys but I dont think his overall skill set is better than rashads although it is close. I find both to be really underwhelming.
