Is that seriously your best argument that we went to the moon? That some multi millions worth of equipment can bounce a laser off something on the moon?

I think the whole development is absolutely fascinating and mind-blowing really when you think about it... The level of knowledge that we have attained is spectacularly impressive and humbling. I edited my post a little and would definitely defer to a professor because I'm just a layman. There's about 95% of the universe that remains unexplained.
