These are the feats of Alec Enkiri, a guy on youtube who also competed in powerlifting and has videos about performance

I've seen some possibly "troll" video about him, saying that this stats are impossible because, if so:
- the guy is faster than 95% of NFL cornerbacks when it comes to 40 yard dash
- his 60 yard shuttle would be top 10 in NFL

I am European, I don't know much about NFL & yards, so I am asking here. :)

Are these feats achievable by someone with average/decent genetics?

Thanks,

i don't know who that guy is or what kind of content he makes but his 40 time alone is sus as fuck. a 4.3 40 is elite speed. to put it into context, there's only been like 20 guys who ever ran a sub 4.3 40 in the NFL. this 37 yr old who doesn't look built for speed is nearly catching these elite athlete 25 yr olds in the prime of their lives? yeah i'm going to have to call bullshit.

I don't know about a lot of those numbers, but I find it interesting that it starts with a 5:30 mile with no prep. I'm old as dirt, and i can run a 6:15-6:30 mile with zero prep and not even going all out (it's on a track at the Y moving around others). I'd have expected sub 5 if this is a guy doing crazy feats.

In my mid 30s
I only run for long distance... 10.5km done in 50 minutes and 21km done in 1:53 planning for a marathon.
I just checked my 1 mile run on Strava (a running app) and it shows 7 minutes... this on a 5km done in 24 minutes last week.
Maybe I'll try to run 1 mile faster, to see how much I get.
I was never fast.

Edit: not quite a guy doing "crazy" feats, he has more of an informative channel about lifting, speed stuff, agility training.

Yeah, this is what I found weird.
I checked some of these guys and their records and they look built for speed.

It’s odd that you experienced guys think that a tiny person who is training conditioning hard on a sled is incapable of a 5:30 mile. A 5:30 is just not that impressive or require that much prep for a sub 180 pound person.

He has well above average genetics for speed and power and trains like a maniac.

None of us said anything about his 5:30 mile. Au contraire....
I mainly asked about his 40 yard dash record

All of it is true. He video logs all of his training. Everything from sprints to jumps to weights. Has videos talking about all of this stuff and has chilronicled his entire journey on the internet for a very long time now. Some of his programming books are just revamped versions of older programs he repacked which is basically what everybody does but his lifts and PRs are all legitimate. He is one of the better YouTubers out there.

I run before lifting and only run a few 5ks per year. Before lifting is 1-2 miles typically on the track. If I'm going at a slow jog pace for short distance (I'll go slower if I run longer distances), is around a 8 min mile pace. I've ran this with my kids a lot and talk to them throughout as 8 minutes is pretty fast for them (they aren't runners). A medium pace that I'll do for 1.5 miles to 2 miles is about 7:30 mile. If I push on a 1.5-2 mile, it's about a 7 minute pace. A one mile run, not jog, but not really pushing myself hard is also about 7 minute. If I push at all, I'm generally 6:30-6:45. For reference, my normal 5k will be anywhere between 22-25 minutes depending on conditions. Actual runners smoke me. At any 5k with 100+ runners, I'm not even getting first in 40-50 year age division. I'd assume people who focus on speed and actually care about 40 yd dash, sprints, max speed, etc. can clock a 5 minute mile pretty easy.

He did it without even running distances at all. He despises long distance running and only does sprints and sled drags for conditioning.

I am not saying otherwise, he has a good channel.
I got this from a video about him where it was said he faked his records.
And I checked the NFL stuff
He is faster than most NFL cornerbacks on the 40 yard dash
He is also faster than them on the 60 yard shuttle

Like I said, I don't know much about these types of records. I guess it might be possible because Alec is smaller than them.
On the other hand, those guys are quite fast.

I didn't post the video at first, because the creator clearly has something against him, but there you go

Fwii his overall goal was to be able to move exactly like an nfl cornerback so his training is biased toward that. He a proponent of hybrid athlete training but a little different flavor than CrossFit.

A mile is a pretty damn short distance though.
There is no reason at all whose main goal is strength, power and speed to run middle distances at all. There is not really team a sport out there that is lactic like a mile run.

so you think he's all natural and that he's running faster than the majority of the NFL at 37 yrs old?

He is definitely peak natty and yes it is possible to keep up with nfl cornerbacks if you trained for it for decades. There are people that aren’t in the nfl that are faster than cornerbacks who simply can’t play football. I think Alex is like 5’6” with very explosive genetics. His Olympic lifts number are pretty good to for being self trained. Little explosive ant men like that have a relative strength and speed advantage.

5'6 and 165lbs. i don't know, that's awfully short and heavy to be that fast. plus he looks way more top heavy than most everyone who is a speedster like that. but i guess there's nobody pushing him on it so i'll never be fully satisfied with what this guy's deal is.

it seems like he'd be way more famous for being a 37 yr old short white dude who can run as fast as a black 25 yr old NFL cornerback.

Ever hear of Darell Greene? The ability to maintain peak athleticism has reached a renaissance with guys like LeBron on Tom Brady competing for goat status in the lower to mid 40s. It requires an insane level of commitment to training but yes it’s possible. 165 is not heavy at all that is relatively skinny.
